    Worried About My Joints

I'm really worried about my knees joints.
Every time I stand up, I hear or feel these soft crunching noises, and they pop (make those knuckle cracking noises) occasionally.

What might be causing this problem?
I don't wanna suffer from arthritis.

Does this happen after waking up? If so, that's perfectly normal.

    What's your age?

^^Yeah, as long as they don't hurt you should be good. Try some stretching occasionally.

Mine do the same and even when I am walking. Depending on your age it could be a lot of different things. If you're really worried consult a doctor.

You must be talking about those omega 3 pills. Thanks man, I'll try that

And my legs don't pop too often, but I hear the crunching noises every time I stand up (when sitting down on my ass)

I'm asking you guys for help and not going to the doctor, because I don't want to waste money on advice that anybody can give easily :p

Can you feel the cracking when you stand up?

Is it only when you stand up or is it when you sit down too?

    Does it hurt?

If it is just tense joints and musles you don't want to get into too many Omega 3 pills. Too many can effect brain function if not fully needed. A good way to slowly get rid of this problem (if it is just tenseness) is to cool the knees (ice) for 5-10 mins. Then QUICKLY warm your knees for 5-10 mins (warm water rag, hot patches, a hot mug [Plus you get hot cocoa], or even a hot rock from outside) MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING SOMETHING HOT!

    This:
    #1 Feels Amazing
#2 Will Unpinch any nerves or muscles
#3 Will loosen everything from joints to tissue
#4 Over time will help your knees heal and relax quicker

It could merely be down to growing pains, depending on how old you are. I personally not too long ago had similar issues, although they seem to have simmered down now that I have grown up. Of course, it depends on your circumstances and how old you are in fact, although I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.

if you are genuinely worries, go to a doctor. Sythe users are hardly qualified to diagnose anything.

If it doesn't hurt though, i would say it's normal.

Do bad knees run in your family? If the problem persists you should probably search for a doctor to check it out.

I use to get this after sitting on the computer for long periods of time, if your on a laptop try using a foot rest to lay your feet straight on or just go for a bit of exercise in between. Also try fish oil tablets I've personally never tried it stretching out my legs and going on walks with my dog seems to have helped this for me, it use to be if i moved my leg back and forth from the knee joint it would crack continuously but wouldn't hurt, my doctor told me just to get more exercise and stretch more often which has worked for me.

I was a speed skater for Team USA and suffer from similar problems. Whenever i walk anywhere barefoot, you can hear my ankles cracking for the first few steps, or when i stand up my knees crack. This is due to cartilage buildup, and usually wont lead into arthritis. If it bothers you bad enough, you can try taking some glucosamine.

    Do you get enough exercise?

None of us are really going to be able to tell you what is wrong, unfortunately. Your best bet is to visit a Doctor and get them looked at. This will also help tame your fears of anything being seriously wrong with you so its worth the time it takes :)

If you are constantly sitting or being bunched up though, and don't get alot of exercise or time to stretch out your legs, that could possibly be a contributing factor? Try going for small walks during the day or doing stretches to loosen up your legs/knees a little bit so they don't seem so stiff & tight and crack all the time.

    Worried About My Joints

This happens to me. I think it's because of the time i spend on the computer. I always sit in Indian style or with my knees bent in some manner. Is this why?
