Things to do for fun

I'm going to try and explain this the best possible way I can.


Me and my girlfriend have been together for about 4 months now, and it seems like we're just running out of things to do. I'm not talking insane crazy dates that will blow a person's mind, but we're literally at loss for things to do. And I'd say that its because we're bored with one another, but in an unexplainable way, this isn't the case. We're both fine with just sitting and being one another, but I'm basically posting this because I'm just looking for fun things to do with my girlfriend.

Some of my own things that I've done, obviously a general things-

Dinner dates
Movies
Bowling
Beach
Park
Her house/my house
Pier
Scenic overlooks


Those are the more "constant" ones. I feel like there's literally NOTHING else to do. I'm just looking for ideas on ways to spend time with one another, again they can be extreme/over the top, or just "bland" and normal but still fun all at once. So basically what I'm looking for is just some ideas for things to do with my girlfriend, please don't be afraid to post even if you're just looking for post count toss me an idea.

Maybe you can plan a picnic ? Hell , go loiter in a Wal-Mart xD
Just try to do random things out of the ordinary with her . Have little pillow fights , playfully tease her , write little letters full of complete nonsense back and forth . Just think out of the box , maybe you can get a notebook and lay down with her and write down everything you've both been through together since the very first day you met each other . Hope I helped !

 

^^^^ He has the right idea! Go hangout with some friends? This one is commonly over looked. If you are looking for something special you two can share, surprise her with fowers, go to the movies, out to eat. Do things you would with a friend if you two were bored out of your wits, but in a more loving relationship way :/ It's hard to explain. Just treat her like your bestfriend.

 

As Mtn Dew has said , treat her as if she were your best friend as well . That way if things don't work out between you two , you can be certain that you'll remain friends at the least . Also , doing this makes things happen much easier and more friendly and positive .

 

Thank you both for the support, but I'm not worried about the being bored out of our wits thing. When we're together its great, the relationship is going uphill I'm just looking for more fun ideas. The posts from r3d were very cute and I'll probably try those, if anyone else has ideas that would be great.

 

There is literally a million things you guys could do together.

Some things I used to do with my girlfriend, other than what you have already listed:

- Like r3d said, write her notes! When I first started dating my gf I slipped a note into her back pocket one day when I walked her to the bus, and told her to read it later. This was 2 weeks into our relationship, she gushed over it and immediately wrote me one back which I found in my locker the next morning. We kept up this "game" of writing each other notes FOR 3 YEARS! I still have a giant box filled with all the notes, poems, pictures and things that she wrote and drew for me. It really spiced things up for us and I'm sure lots of other couples do similar things

- Play music together. I play a bit of guitar, she was amazing at piano. She used to teach me how to play piano and I would teach her guitar chords, and we would sing together and goof off. It was alot of fun

- Pack a picnic when the weather is nice. This is wicked fun!

- Take up a new hobby or class together. Like Yoga, a dancing class, maybe a weekly sport league like volleyball, floor hockey etc.

- Go swimming at your local pool

- Go to the gym together and work out

- Go for a run, walk, or bike ride together

- Go for a drive. Either to somewhere familiar, or to somewhere that you have never been before. Just pack up the car one day with everything you need, then go.

- Cook dinner together one night. Go out and buy all the ingredients you need for a certain meal, then cook it together and eat together in a nice, quiet, candlelit setting. This was one of my favourites. When the night goes well (it always does), end it with a bubble bath.

- Play video games. Just for something to do one day I brought my old N64 that was collecting dust over to her house, and we set it up in her room and played Mario Kart and Donkey Kong racing all night. She hated video games, but had a really fun time doing this.

- Play some board games together. Play scrabble and spell dirty/funny words, or play pictionary or cards, or anything that is fun and exciting. Teach each other new games and have fun kicking each other's butts.

- Do homework together. Yeah its not the most exciting or romantic thing together, but its still time spent together. I don't even know how many times I sat down with my girlfriend so she could teach me/help me with my math homework, or so that I could read her essays for her and proofread, edit, and help her restructure her paragraphs and spice up her papers. We even did projects together at school before or helped each other with our own projects in seperate classes.

- Go to the library together and sign out some books. It will give you guys something to talk about later when you can compare books and tell each other about what you are reading.

- Go shopping. I fucking HATE shopping, and she LOVED it. We would go together and she helped me develop better shopping habits and helped pick out clothes for me, and I could help her try on things and give her opinions and we could make a full day out of it. Always a great time.

- Plan a trip together, like a vacation to mexico, or a weekend up at the local ski resort & spa. Something that you guys can plan, discuss, and look forward to together.

- Give each other massages and special treatments. My girlfriend used to pluck my eyebrows for me, cut my nails, and give me "facials" with all her girly products. Yeah it is gay, but I secretly liked it lol and it was really cute watching her fuss all over me. And I would reward her with long massages, belly rubs, things like that.

- Go see a movie at the theater for a change instead of just watching one at home.

- Buy tickets to some local bands/shows and surprise her. Then get dressed up and go see them when the night comes. Always a good time and you guys get to dance together and just focus on each other all night. Great fun!

This response is probably way too long already, but you get the picture. If you guys really love each other then finding things to do should be no problem at all, it should just come naturally. Hope that some of these ideas help you.

The best kind of activities are one's that you plan and are spontaneous and fun.

The element surprise is the best thing to spark a relationship. Trust me

Thanks haha, I'm a spontaneous person in general so I've got that part down but it never hurts to have a plan for those longer nights .

I really wish you would. Instead of just getting your post count up and telling me to play 1 on 1 soccer with my girlfriend(which wouldn't work) you could possibly tell me some of the other ideas you had in mind.
