And I know that the guide is wrong, but I believe the way Kero has approached it makes him sound like a huge dickhead. I think it could have been handled in a much more professional way.

 

Nero if you're complaining about his ban reason, this is not the place to do it. Anyway, it'll get you nowhere. His "free eBay items" involves either frauding Paypal, frauding eBay, or frauding the individual sellers on eBay. Either way, it's against many of our rules on Sythe.

If you're complaining about my approach, what exactly did I say that made me sound like "a huge dickhead"? Rather than posting "Denied," and being done with it (which every other mod does), I explained the reason for his ban, why we will keep it that way, and to save time, asked him not to dispute anymore. I'm interested to know how I can improve more.

 

I was the one who reported him if you don't remember.

I don't see where you explained why he was banned; all you said is that you didn't want him here and that you are following it up with a perm ban soon. You posted a link to his thread, and even in the thread you didn't explain anything. I have made several reports of these 'Free Things' guides and none before this have been handled this way. They will just say "Locked" and move on.

There is an obvious sarcastic twinge to the reply to his dispute which I personally find unprofessional. It would have been better you just say Denied and go on. What I am getting at is that sarcasm in replies to serious inquiries/disputes on bans is really unneeded. I am just posting my opinion; if you don't want it or think it is unimportant feel free to not read my posts concerning this matter.

 

I'd just like to note that the sarcastic twinge was accidental. I'll be more careful to avoid responses seeming sarcastic, but unless it has a emote, I'm not trying to be an ass. The bottom line, though: chargeback and fraudulent payment scams are the biggest blackeye this website has seen. We want nothing to do with those people, and their presence here is not tolerated whatsoever.

 

Alteranz - I honestly do not see much to you, but when I do, it's always something positive and useful. Also just answered a PM of mine extremly fast. Keep up the good work man!

Awesome Stranger - I've seen you do quite a few spam reports, which is nice. No complaints.

Cosrob97 - Honestly I don't see much from you, but according to your recent posts, you do a great work in the dispute forum and the sections you moderate. It might just be that I don't visit the Runescape and Off-topic sections too often ^_^ Oh and by the way, change that stupid signature, it's driving me mad D:

Determinate - Same as Cosrob, I don't visit your section too often, so can't really deem it properly. However, looking through your posts it seems fine. Would be nice to see you a tad more though ^_^

Djweasel - Nothing outstanding, nothing bad either though.

FlyingToast - You do a few spam reports, but other than that, I haven't seen much to you...

JohnK - You are excellent in the Off-topic section, you are the perfect choice for that moderator position.

KerokeroCola - I think you're awesome man, especially in the dispute forum.

Kinaesthic - I'm sorry, but I think you're somewhat arrogant, and not dedicated for your moderator role. It recently seemed like you just wanted to eliminate the competition in the graphics section, but oh well. I honestly don't see much from you

MohtasaUnique - You're really awesome and really got some humour. In regards to your moderating work, I can't say much. I do see you sometimes in the dispute forum, but that's about it.

n4n0 - Fast responding, easy to communicate with and over-all friendly. You are really fast at doing my spam reports and really are into this community. Love you.

SuF - I really like your opinions in the dispute forum, and I do agree with most of them. It's always good with some different opinions sometimes. Also, you're really active in the Support sections and you close the answered threads very fast.


Clashfan - I nearly never see you in any of the sections, but I guess most of your work are behind the scenes...

CSkiffingt1 - Over-all very active, especially in the dispute forum, keep it up

FireZ - As always, a beast. Keep burning the vaders

Giddy - The only place I've seen you recently has been in the spam forum... I suppose (or hope at least) that you are doing a good job behind the scenes!

Karl -Excellent work in the Community section (the dispute forum mostly I guess) and RaSC/SP sections.

Nick - Seen you a bit recently, not much though; hope you are doing well behind the scenes too.

Sacro - Same as above.

Sin666 - I haven't seen a post from you in days, but I think I found the explanation Regarding your moderator work, it was phenomenal, when you first were re-promoted, but I don't see you as much as I used too. I suppose you're just busy, which is understandable.

Giverny - I don't see you much, most of your work are supposedly behind the scenes, so it's understandable.

Matthew - Great work with donations as always.

Govind - You seem more active/community-involved than ever which is really nice! Glad to see the admins involve themselves a tad more ^_^ Also, nice autoclicker, lol.

Sythe - I haven't had an error with Sythe.org in months, so you must be doing something Great job.

I've PMed Karl, MohtasaUnique AND reported my thread to be re-opened and the title to be changed, and I haven't had response so far (Karl yesterday, Mohtasa 2 days ago). I'm not telling you guys what to do, but I thought PMs would have a certain priority (especially for Mohtasa, as you're a sectional)? What if I reported a malicious link through the PM system, might do quite some damage in 2 days.

 

Mill3n do you think every mod doesn't get bombed with pm's? I don't reply to name changes threads. Nor do I do them if I'm on my iPhone. It's not our priority to change a thread title.

 

Report a thread, dont PM us.

 

I don't mean to seem "disjoint," but my personal philosophy is that I'm here to serve people. As long as I have time, I get to the massive pile of PM requests. However, DJ was right.. we get bombarded with PMs. This is after about six hours: http://screensnapr.com/v/Wbq0ts.png (and, mind you, that was overnight so much less people are on). If I'm on Sythe, I need at least five to ten minutes uninterrupted to get to the PM requests. Normally, I pop in and post and then have to get off again.

Like Karl said, if you report it, it'll get done eventually. You can do both report and PM if you need it done quickly.
