If I buy an account, can it be recovered?

I'm planning to buy an account n player auctions. I'm just wondering how the seller can recover it? When I buy it what can I do to make sure he can't recover it? What if I change the recovery questions and the email address?

If I change the email he won't be able to change the recovery questions that I've set, right?

 

He wont be able to change em but yes most Original owners can always recover the account because it belongs to them

 

If you are the original owner you can always recover it, it doesn't matter how many times you change it. Unless you get Jagex to remove the previous data but I doubt they would do that to regular players accounts.

 

The appeals for recovering accounts ask's for the earliest information possible. Since the owner most likely has that information, it won't matter if your email is registered and your recovery questions are set, he could still get it back if he really wanted.

 

Just buy accounts from very trusted people and you won't have any problems at all.

No matter what happens, if the original owner has the computer/location of his original IP on the account. The account can ALWAYS be recovered no matter how secure you've made it.

I don't think you should even buy accounts, the original owner can recover it anytime and even if you have all the correct information, chances are, you will not be able to recover it back in the event when the original owner decides to recover his account.

 

Yep as long as they have original IP and previous membership details. However you can post on the forums and get Jagex to remove all the details by pretending you got hacked.

Remember that no matter who you buy it from and no matter what recovery information you get with it, the original IP always wins.
