Any of you nerds live in Florida? I'll more than likely be traveling there for work if hurricane Mathew continues it's projected course. Ya'll better get to moving before you gets all wets and stuff.

20+ year veteran of hurricanes here in Florida. It'l most likely hit the east coast though. I live on the gulf side near Tampa. What kind of work do you do?

 

Insurance adjusting, specializing in flood. As bad as it sounds, I make money when other people's lives are ruined.

I'm fully aware how much work is provided by hurricanes. I personally switched my insurance over to full coverage. If this hits it's going to flood my entire area. We've had so much rain recently and I truly believe if this thing hits florida it could easily be just as damaging as Katrina.

Yeah, ask your agency about excess policies if you have stuff valued higher than your coverage. Most people don't know about this.
