    Xbox 360 Wireless

Does anyone know any good methods for playing Xbox live without the wireless adapter or connecting to your modem. I have an ethernet cord but dont have a good tv near the modem.

I saw a video on youtube where you allow other connections to be made under control panel allowing you to connect the 360, but I don't know the risks of that..

    Any help?

Ok, Let's say you got a router connected onto a computer. If your ethernet stretches from your router to your 360, that's good.
You plug one part of the ethernet (doesn't matter which side) to the slot, and plug in the the 'other' ethernet to to the slot behind your 360.

    Method 2:

Get a laptop that has working wifi.
Connect to somewhere that gives you some strong signals I recommend atleast 4... But it should be max, so you don't have to worry about lag during gameplay. Insert one part of the ethernet in your laptop and the other in your 360.

At Bestbuy, there's a Cat6 Cable (The Ethernet Cable) that only goes for 50'
and it costed $30.00 - $40.00. It was mad expensive and definitely wasn't long
enough for me to play from a long far away. Unless there was a way to connect
both wires, It seemed redundant to even try to connect it. At $60.00
for 2 Cat6 cables, might as well just buy the wireless adapter.

Dude are you serious? Buy a Cat5 cable from here for $5, http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10208&cs_id=1020812&p_id=143&seq=1&format=2 It's just as good of quality as one from bestbuy, and they also have 100ft cables. I can't believe that anyone would pay even $20 for a cat5 cable. (cat6 cables are useless tbh)

You can just get a longer cable, then run it through to the modem.

The Wireless Adapter is worth the $100
Or you can get it on Ebay for like $70 I think.

Wired connections are the best for gaming, don't go wireless, trust me.

Get a wireless router and make your xbox go under the wireless setting and you should be getting a connection.

if you have a laptop with wifi, connect your laptop to wifi, plug an ethernet cable from your laptop to your xbox, that might be good enough, but if you still cant connect to xbl then go into your connections, should say like wireless connection and local area connection. highlight both of them and right click and click bridge, the internet will go down on your laptop for a couple seconds then youll be good.

Thanks for the help guys but I found a solution. I plugged the ethernet cord into my laptop and 360, then allowed connections in my control panel.

    Thanks guys.
