Curious though.. who exactly is going to use this..

 

Honestly I doubt barely anyone will use this, maybe @Chloe for her giveaways at @Divica, but that would be the only thing I can imagine at this moment.

 

I just don't see how Sythe can even be as Social Media orientated. Doesn't seem natural to me.

 

I mean.. I'm not trying to be Ironic.. but perhaps not be a BlackMarket forum?

You have a forum where majority of people here keep their lives hidden.
You have a RuneScape society that hardly integrate their gaming with others in their lives. It depends whether gamers want to share? There are a few games where I assume it could be possible, LoL or WoW?

We do have ways of social media sharing, like Twitch/streams, Youtube. Because people like to gamble, and actually play games, and this site is highly effected by gambling and others by gaming in general, or other misc things. I'm unsure about sharing via FB? etc.. twitter perhaps.

If it was a possibility of having a twitch stream, where sythe users could log in to and stream their thing, it could possibly bring in revenue, whether people would want to. idk.. whether thats a logically possible? I'm probably pulling thin strings, because I don't know any way to encourage sharing of a blackmarket website.

 

Since it's a new feature, you can basically advertise it like most forums and wikis do with their new info. I don't see why the news announcement system is basically only used right now for people who are hacked or warning, why not make it a way to ensure that everyone sees a new feature of the site; say something like "Share a thread with your friends through social media now! Earn a trophy!*"

*You can add this or not, if there's a way to make a trophy for this it would be a real incentive like referrals. This, obviously, would entail a method of tracking how many times a user shares something through social media. You can make a set of bronze, silver, gold, etc trophies like exist right now through the like system (e.g. 'Newsman' Shared X threads with friends through social media).

I've never been one to get embarrassed in real life about my online habits so I actually share a few memes or interesting posts with them through Facebook messenger or even group chat functions by copying + pasting links.

I'm just spit ballin' here.
