Runescape

I love runescape 3, I think its amazing. I play almost every day and its pretty much all I do whenever I have free time. I really enjoy playing, but it has consumed many, many days of my life. I need suggestions on how to quit permanently please. I've taken several breaks ranging from weeks/months/years even and I just keep coming back.. Do I need professional help?

 

If you enjoy it just limit your time. Play for say 2-3 hours a day after you've taken care of your other commitments.

If you're really done with it change your email to a temporary email on a site like 10 minute mail, reset your password to random gibberish, and then close the web page. Block runescape from your browser and call it a day.

But no, just stop. If you REALLY CAN'T STOP, then yes, seek help.

 

I think the best way to stop would be to get your account perm banned. The quickest way to do that would probably be to advertise some random gold site or to suicide bot a highly targeted area.

 

You can ask Jagex to lock your account. Some fast ways to get banned: macro, advertise that you're selling your account in the G.E. (people find this annoying and normally will report you), advertise a gold website (some website names are auto-ban). Repeat until you're perm'd. Good luck.

 

Doing all that crap won't help. You'll end up coming back. Honestly find a hobby to replace it, (preferably a girl) and you'll never look back.

 

I'd suggest finding some alternative to playing runescape like listening to music, watching movies and so on. Limit your play time and try your best to focus on other things, do something else you like instead of playing to get your thoughts elsewhere.

 

Start playing League of Legends.

 

Just quit. Harsh, but if you want it you'll do it. Like any addiction going cold turkey is most effective.

 

Set parental controls on your PC and block Runescape.

Honestly, it cant be that hard to quit. It is just a video game! it shouldant be taking over your life, i would suggest to just limit you time and just have fun.
