Runescape 3

Anyone have any faith in it?

I mean, with the failures of past updates, and then just recently Jagex having success with Runescape 07, I'd hope they'd keep their good streak going and try to improve.

I think I'm going to take a gamble on it. I just bought back an old account of mine that I sold, and I'll probably buy a few bil of gold while it's low.

 

Isn't it only gonna have some visual upgrades?

 

no, there will be more updates than graphic deigns, new minigames i think.

 

Not too sure on specifics.

 

Even if they make a huge upgrade to the current game, I doubt I'll ever play it seriously. Maybe gonna check it out for a month or so.

 

I'm pretty excited for it, the interface customization does sound pretty cool.

Highly doubt it will succeed. Runescapes niche is 2007 and before. The only reason it's well known and has attracted players for years is of it's prior success. Updating and changing everything just leaves it with all the newer, better and aesthetically pleasing games, which are far superior. I also highly doubt computers that can run 2007scape will be able to run Runesape 3, meaning a game that only required an internet connection will now be met with specific game card needs, processing speeds and so on.

 

I wonder if in one years time we'll see a vote to have eoc servers reinstated.

 

I think there is a fair amount of users who dislike 07 and much rather play EOC, so for them I'd say great. Me, personally, I think it looks like the first improvement I have actually seen them do to EOC, the interface looks well organised and they fact that you cn resituate the inventory, chat box etc is a great implementation. I might give it a whirl when it comes live!

 

I play eoc and look forward for this update,but not for the new interface,will keep mine the old.

 

I am hoping that with the new Runescape 3 update that it improves the game significantly. Right now I believe the game is heading down a road that will end in a few years if not less.

 

Nah RS3 doesn't have many players after 07 came out, it would be quite pointless to continue playing.

It's going to be amazing.

Screw the minimap, I'm going to use the main screen to move now like most games with that draw distance.

I think it will just get more players mad. Any type of change Jagex adds to the game just gets players more upset.
