RS3 Interface

The behind the scenes came out a couple minutes ago...here is a look at the new interface ._.

Makes my transition from actually playing runescape just that much easier I suppose.

 

I wonder if its going to require an $800 or more computer to run it.

 

I hope they make a option to keep the old interface.

Looks awful, I can probably get used to it though, like someone said above, hope you can choose to keep the default one.

No, but as of late they're headed that way and it's a shame. They'll never be able to compete as a browser based game.

 

why do you guys always cry about change? clearly its an improvement or they wouldnt be implementing it

 

Not necessarily, they have a track record of implementing things that can't exactly be considered "improvements"

 

In terms of graphics I can't even notice a difference.

Is this actually real..? I mean, the minimap shows eastern varrock, and the main display shows north east edgeville. Is this fake?

 

It doesn't say mini map, it says clan camp above it so I'm assuming that map has nothing to do with his current in game location.

 

Yeah, Jagex released a "fake" picture on their behind the scenes video.

 

To be honest, i think it looks shit, im glad i started playing 07.

If you watch the BTS, you will see that it is fully customizable. I think the transition is going to be a great thing since Java has always been a hindrance thanks to lag and cpu/ram usage. Last I check, you will have the option to retain your current Runescape layout if you wish. I can't wait to see what this brings as I am staying open minded about it. Seeing this game progress over the past 10 years has been amazing. I haven't supported all of their updates in the past, but they are moving the game forward so we just have to live with it. And for those saying that Runescape is trending to a WOW type of game, it is really all a matter of opinion. All MMORPG's look like each other at some point in their development. Hopefully they won't be stagnant in the stage for long. HTML5 is just another step in the progress.

The inventory is too small, seems you have to scroll it down.
The chatbox sucks.
