Religion.

I live In Illinois and Im hebrew. Just wondering your guys opinion. (I BELIEVE GOD DOES NOT HAVE A SON, I BELIEVE HE CAME DOWN AND CRUCIFIED HIMSELF AND IS HIS OWN SPIRIT AND CONCIEVED HIMSELF) ( some knowledge) new earth would have do be the size of infinity to host a population that lives forever because of the size of the covanent/kingdom/empire/dynasty. I would like your opinions on this.

Just religion itself. Maybe something about the war down by israel

 

I think religion is simply an institution created by man to provide both 1) a method of control, and 2) a simple, easy to swallow explanation of the unknown.

This is a fairly educated opinion when you take in to account the early influences of even more ancient religions upon the Hebrew and Christian faiths, the way that religion was forcefully spread through violence (much like the Israel conflict), and how there have been countless religions throughout both known and unknown history.

As for the existence of a God? I'm not saying one exists or one doesn't. However, the one thing I've found religions have in common is that they don't actually provide plausible evidence for their claims of God and an afterlife. This is why I think of them critically - they just don't make any sense as they're purely based on what could well be easily fabricated ideas.

 

I find religion fascinating, but am not religious myself.

IDGAF about the war in Israel honestly. There will always be conflict there.

A good control mechanism. While rich people will burn in hell, the citizens will be rewarded with heaven as long as they obey.

Do you really believe that? What if someone is not a christian but "lives by god" none the less, where do they go??

Better question would be, what if one has never even heard of the Christian God? Where do THEY go?

Interestingly, every religion claims to be the "correct" version of the truth. None of them really try to prove it though.
