    MSVCR71.dll error?

Hey, I keep getting this error when I load certain games, it says something like "unable to locate MCVCR71.dll" Tried googling but the only useful info I found to try and fix it didnt work. Ive downloaded and installed the Microsoft visual files and also searched the java folder for the sql setup but its not there. This pops up when I load world of warcraft. Any way to fix this?

Reinstall your java, make sure it's the correct bit version and the placement is correct. Make sure the java contains the msvcr71 and msvcr100 DLL versions.

    MSVCR71.dll error?

I had an issue like this with a different .dll file and I just downloaded and placed it in the correct folder. Best of luck with resolving the problem.

Do a search and download it online, then put it in your System32 directory.

    MSVCR71.dll error?

Got it fixed, thanks, cant believe I didnt think of that. Tried re installing Java but it said files were missing or corrupt so I tried re installing the service pack which led me to another error in the registry involving permissions. Got that fixed and now it seems to be running fine. Thanks again folks, dont know what Id do without y'all :D
