Does any one know how to mak an axe and pickaxe on minecraft 1.5 beta?

 

I think there's a minecraft section on the website, people can probably tell you there.

If not, look on the minecraft wiki.

 

Make a crafting table, get 2 sticks and 3 pieces of metal or wood.

Hey you can just get a cheat engine and make all of your items you would ever want. and its pretty easy to find. if you type in minecraft cheat engine. lol

 

ill give you some steps.
chop down some wood from trees, these produce (wood by itself) 4 wooden planks
after that make a crafting table (i believe its 8 wooden planks on all the outter edges and not one in the middle correct me if im wrong)
with leftover wooden planks use them to make sticks (1 wood plank = 4 sticks) leave at least 3 wood planks to make your first pick or axe

insert 2 wood sticks in the middle bot and middle middle THEN insert wooden planks along the TOP row to make a pickaxe

OR insert 2 wood sticks in middle bot, middle middle then insert wooden planks on the top middle, left top, left middle to make a axe

after you have your wood, you can continue to upgrade to other pickaxes or axes, i would make a pickaxe first (use wooden pickaxe on cobblestone to make stone pickaxes, stone pickaxes on iron to make iron pickaxes etc etc)
