Live updates

What're the chances of implementing a live update feature while viewing threads? Which is like where you're looking at a thread, someone posts to the same thread, and it updates your view without you needed to refresh your page.

tbh I don't remember if this was already asked for, or if it was tabled for vb4 way in the past. Sythe mentioned he'll get to looking at those approved suggestions when xen is stabilized, but just in case this wasn't asked for before, I think it'd be a nice addition. Possibly with a on-off toggle, if people find it annoying.

 

I think this is already a thing on Xen, iirc I got a notification yesterday at the same time my draft saved that there was a new post.

He said they may possibly implement it but they have other stuff they are prioritizing.

 

Support for obvious reasons. I don't think it would be hard to implement with this software.

Even if that's applied proactively, getting some donation credit as well would be more appealing for me.

Like $200-$500+ Donors get access to the private sythe server/forum thing or whatever? It would also prevent a lot of bigger members being hacked aswell.

I don't expierence many issues at all when browsing Sythe, nor does the site really ever seem slow for me.

I don't know about anyone else, but I personally doubt I would subscribe just because the current sythe doesn't seem to have many issues?

Is there any other perks to it besides a private sythe server for subs? If the original sythe already has 99% uptime, I don't see why anyone would use this unless they have crappy internet and want a better connection, It'd basically be a pay to reduce lag kind of thing right?
