Le upgrading pc

I got a new job recently and am going to want to upgrade my pc.


I'm running an
i7 2600
16 gb ram
2tb hd
Gtx 560 ti
dual 21' 1080p monitors
RAZR death adder
And a black widow ultimate 2013
no headset but 150$ sound system.



what would you update first?
I want to ideally go to 3 monitors and a wall mounted large screen. (But my currently card can't handle more than two monitors)

 

GPU and CPU

 

what would you reccomend?

i would say 1k budget. If i could grab another 560ti and run it sli and have that run 3 monitors and overhead that would be ideal.

I have a bit more money to work with though

 

Doesn't really give the needed information. However, I am going to assume you have atleast 2 PCIe 3.0 slots.

I would advise upgrading the GPU from the 560. Even a 660 would be better imo.

Hey, thanks i do have 2 pci express slots. what affects a cpu other than cores and Ghz, because thats almost the exact same cards in that retrospect

How about getting a SSD? Faster and much more durable than a HD. I wouldn't recommend upgrading anything else though because it would be expensive and only increase the performance very slightly. Your computer can do practically everything already.

 

Well I can't run 3 monitors and a wall mount like I mentioned in the thread.


I also can't stream watchdogs on ultra without my computer sounding like a jet airplane. My comp is over 3 years old. There's a lot of possible improvements

  Get another graphics card if you want another display. I figured you knew that. Like I said your computer can do practically everything for personal use from a performance standpoint. I never said you can't make improvements I said they would be expensive and simply not worth the few milliseconds of improvement(unless hundreds of dollars mean nothing to you). The only reasonable performance upgrade I see is getting an SSD. If your fans making too much noise get a better fan.

 

its not an issue with my fan, its an issue with my computer running the newest games on ultra settings.

First of all, replace your Intel with anything from AMD. Just a suggestion. Huehuehue. You don't need that Razr gear, it's just a name, like Alienware. Shop cheaper and smarter for more efficient gear.

That's the only couple of tips I have for you.

I like my keyboard and mouse. I would sure as hell take it over a 10$ logitech mouse and keyboard combo.

 

You asked "what would you update first?". Not recommend a graphics card. You never said you can't run your games on ultra. You said when you do run it the computer gets loud. Where do you think the noise is coming from?

If you're not going to consider people's opinions don't ask for them.

 

Why do you say SSDs are more durable? They slow down over the years because of read/writes (which is the reason people store things like OSes and games that don't change much)

 

It will be your fan. If you're looking to upgrade your CPU, you could get a simple watercooling setup for it, which would also mean you could overclock.

 

SSD's are obviously more durable than hard drives. Hard drive have an average life of like 4 years. SSDs don't have moving parts like hard drives do, sort of like a flash drive.
