Ipods.... Worth it?

Well, title basically says it all. My ipod broke recently, and I'm debating on whether to buy a nano, or a touch. They both are great models, and I just can't decide. If it was last year's nano generation, I would definitely choose the touch. But, considering the generation change, I can't decide. The touch is amazing with the wifi and the sleek design of it. But, the nano puts up a fight with it's new polished look and the video camera built in. The nano for only $140 at Wal Mart, compared to the Touch which is around $190-$199. The prices vary in stores, obviously.

Well, which is worth it. The touch is amazing, and yet the nano is as well. Is the touch worth the extra 50 bucks? Without the video camera, is it worth it? I've personally seen the camera on the nano, and for something that small, it's amazing. The only thing I don't like is the position of the camera lens. The 3rd gen touch is very nice with the qwerty soft touchable screen.

Well, which do you prefer, and recommend?

 

Frankly, with a Ipod your paying for a brand name.

I suggest looking at outher makes.

 

I'm not trying to be a trend whore, but, I love the features of them. I'd like something that's cheaper and still has some suitable features. I've looked at the zune collection, and for the price, the gigs they have are incredible.

 

The Zune 80 GB is a nice one i'm considering upgrading to from the nano chromatic 16 GB.
The 16 GB is fantastic, (i have it in purple ^.^) consider getting that if you like iPods, or the new one with the camera looks cool, too.

 

I'd go with the iTouch, because of the WiFi, apps, etc. I've never had a nano to compare, but I really like the touch. Sorry if I wasn't much help.

 

The only reason I'd compare a zune, is the storage for the price. I've always loved ipods, and their features. I just want to get my money's worth.

 

As being a previous owner of both the iPod touch and nano, I recommend the iPod touch. While the nano's video camera is nice, it's terrible quality. And for around $50 more, you can surf the web, play games, and more that you just can't do on a nano.

 

if you want to record buy a camera??? i would say go with the touch the extra 50$ would be worth it imo because you can do more get apps and stuff... but in the end its up to you

If you want a camera you could always get an iPhone without a plan, it has a camera and I'm pretty sure there is a video app for it.

 

iPod touch, I bought one and I haven't regretted it at all. It's amazing.

 

I had a touch for about 6 months before selling it, but it was pretty damn cool. My only complaint was the lack of space, I like having most of my music with me all the time.

I'd go for the touch if space isn't an issue, it's only $50 more.

Functions make it better then a Zune (my aunt works for mircosoft and gets left over zunes. I've used many times and just don't like them)

 

If you buy an iPhone without a plan you'll be paying a few hundred dollars more just for a camera.

Money isn't the issue as of now. I'd love to get a touch from all of the positive reviews.

Yes the process and internal is so much better then the first 2 generations. To get the better one you need to get the 32 or 64. 8s are still 2nd generations. Once the 3.1.2 jailbreak come out its game on to do whatever you can imagine.

I bought a zune for 100$. It's better than a nano has radio etc but the battery is unreliable. An 8 gig touch is 150-200$ i'd recommend that since they're so much better and have internet etc.

 

Get an iTouch or iPhone. Internet, music, movies, etc. It's worth the $200+ price tag.
