ARGH, I've gravedigged 3 times and I didn't even realize it until I got a warning for it! Grr, wtf is with that? I understand the rule, I just don't understand why I keep doing it and not realizing it... not to mention I've gotten told off for it three times already and didn't notice until I was looking at all my posts today...

Please don't call me an idiot, Dustein. To answer your question coupled with Burden's question, I don't tend to look at the date of any posts. It never occurred to me that posting in an old topic could earn me warnings and infractions. Not to mention that I only really read the things people say; the dates were small and insignificant before that. This was just a rant; there was no need to get insulting about it. Not to mention I know it was, in fact, my fault.

So please don't insult me next time. I would appreciate it.

 

It still doesn't explain how you got to those old threads anyway.

 

I was just browsing the forums, looking for interesting topics. That's just what I do; I browse forums and such looking for questions I can answer or topics that I have things I can add to. Whether or not it occurred to me that the farther back they are, the older they are, is a different matter. I must have assumed that the farther buried they are, the less VIEWS they have.

As I have asked before, please be civil. I was just ranting and I don't have the faintest clue how to delete a topic, so I would sincerely appreciate it if I did not get badmouthed and insulted with every reply.

Gravedigging isn't against the rules as long as the post isn't spam.
Maybe some of the mods need to read the rules.

I don't want to go against any mods, but I received a warning for this and this, and I received a one point infraction for this.

On the first one, I was merely answering what I thought to be a post where he was still asking the question... I didn't look at the date. It was asking about using buttons in (what I thought was VB6) VB.NET to open new forms and execute other programs. On the second, I was also answering his question (he needed a free auto-clicker and by reading the other posts, I found that my favorite one also needed to be considered) and then got told off for it (by a backseat modder, as Darthatron put it), and on the third, it was asking what our first program was, and I stated

That last one was the one I received an infraction for. Probably because I had gravedigged twice already and that was the third.

I received a warning from Darthatron and SuF, then one final infraction from SuF. I don't mean to be a nuisance or anything, but I DID read the forum rules again, and I saw nothing about gravedigging... thank you for the patience in my long-winded explanation.

Any mods that come across this thread, please excuse me for attempting to find out what happened in this method.
