yeah and to think I had bought a phat set the other day thinking they were going to go up....Oh well I got scammed for it the next day haha so I guess now I don't care I also heard Jagex is going to be doing this shit EVERY YEAR?

But who knows, I have a slight feeling jagex are going to come out one day and say that all rares are now discontinued, NOW they are rares. Will find out in the coming months.

 

Honestly, I think that's a possibility as well. It'd make sense, basically mirroring the original discontinuing of partyhats/santas/etc.

 

That's exactly right, release just the right amount of rares, let people think they are worthless, then bang, they're rares again. It's the only possible way to make an item rare again, deceive the player, hence why I'm stocking up..

I think they'll eventually discontinue you them, in actual rs rares weren't so much of rares in the first 6 months . Plus we all know fhegex, they'll need the money.

 

A J-mod said weeks ago that they were planning on dumping phats until they were worthless. I guess people didn't take it seriously.
