Finally built PC!

bump.

 

Hey Drento is your looking for a medium/low gpu I have a Gtx 560 ti that I upgraded a bit ago after it couldn't handle the newest games at ultra (watchdogs, last light redux) if your interested hit me up.

 

Alright so I've started buying parts.

AMD FX6300
Bitfenix Shinobi Window
Crucial M100 240GB SSD
Western Digital 1TB HD
Optical Drive


Now i just need to make up my mind on:

GPU ( might just spend the exra 100$ for something that'll last longer. Thinking R9.
RAM amount/configuration. For some reason I've really been wanting 16GB but I probably only need 8gb.
MOBO - want something that can handle all of my above requirements + OC ability.
Power unit will probably end up being a modular unit for overall cleanliness.
I suppose with OC I'll need an aftermarket CPU cooler too.

 

The 290x is good bang for your buck right now especially if you get one used but as soon as the 300 series is announced they'll drop even lower.

Everything ordered only thing I kind of wish I went with the FX8350 CPU but I'm sure the 6300 will be fine.

 

Bump. Went crazy last night and bought everything I could imagine LOL.

Bought new 21.5" monitor, speakers, keyboard and mouse.

Is two monitors really worth it?

 

Two monitors, if you are in Uni or just plain old multi-task is awesome. I run two monitors now and would absolutely consider a 3rd if I had the money (or time to fix our broken ones).

My main monitor is used for anything I am typing, while the secondary monitor is for chat sessions/notes/emails that I need or like to have open. While gaming, the main screen is for... well yeah. And then the secondary screen is for monitoring data and voice chat interfaces (mumble/TS3/etc.) - or when playing MOBAs, base builds.

Buy it if its brand new unopened. If used, forget it because I can find 16gb 2x8gb for under $100.

 

I ended up buying a new 8GB (2x4GB), just for sake of buying new. Thanks for the reply though.

 

Listen to SuF, the only change you should really be making is onboard wifi unless you've got a stick but those things suck. If you're not a heavy gamer you'll be happy with what you've chosen.
