EOC slayer guide

I need some help on Slayer in the EOC. I can figure out the weaknesses but, can someone explain the specifics like whether Dragon Defender is still a relevant choice or if offhand rapier is better. I am maxed melee stats and 99 range, I also have all chaotics.

You can actually just turn your keyboard upside down and it does the work for you

 

You're much better off with an offhand chaotic rapier as opposed to a defender.

 

Dragon defender probably sucks now, it is now a shield and a weapon and doesnt give much damage. You should use weapons that are of ur monster's weakness. For example, black demons are weak to bolts, so you should use duo chaotic crossbows for that task. If you get a task thats weak to stab, then u should use duo chaotic rapier. Using offhand chaotic rapier with the normal one unlocks some abilitys like flurry which is useful for the dps. Shields are also pointless imo

 

Shields have a relevant use for bossing and PvM, but for Slayer you just want to use offhand chaotics. It's definitely worth the time dungeoneering to get the offhands.

 

D Def is pretty useless right now but instead of an offhand chaotic, I'd recommend you go and grab an enchanted excalibur instead. It's wielded in the off hand slot and it has the same stats as a whip now with the passive ability of healing you 1/4 of the hits it deals.

 

Thing about slayer/RS in general now is that everything can literally be dropped in 1-3 hits depending on the proper use of abilities. You want the most damage per second unless you're say PKing or Tanking for a team. Use an offhand chaotic/any weapon in general.

 

Here's the embedded video, obviously Kuradel is the slayer master of choice for your combat and such. Chaotic off-hand weapons > shields, d-defender, etc. for the reasons stated above. If you have the enchanted Excalibur however use that as it's non-degradable.
