Howdy, Recently my network cable somehow gave up so I temporarily used another that went straight through my room. That wasn't pretty indeed, so my dad without letting me know today installed devolo Cockpit and removed the cable running through my room. That did fix my issue, however I'm quite concerned. Does this have any influence on my internet speed? Does this have any influence on my connectivity? And more importantly - it says somewhere that data communication is enabled etc - does this mean my dad is able to see what I'm doing on the internet? Anyone able to shed some light on this? Thanks. @Rosed
Seems like the Devolo Cockpit software itself doesnt give direct access to packet sniffing or monitoring specific network activity, it might give some insight into the network statistics such as download/upload and bandwidth usage though. I can't vouch for the stability of any powerline network solution, I personally prefer to stay away from them but if you have limited options its understandable. Cable from modem to PC or Router to PC is always my preferred option. I wouldnt be too worried about your dad monitoring your network activity though.
