DDoS attacks

If it means anything, I talked to "tengauge" the other day and he was claiming that he had access to the admin cp and he could ban anyone for me. He even took a picture of himself on the admin cp for me, I will post it on request.

 

He did try buying my account . Saying he was tenguage...

 

should of just reported it as soon as you seen the picture.

I was in this Convo. I have screenshots to this. And deacon he never said he was inventor. It was tenguage and Trent Thomas.

 

Tengauges real name is Jonathon, I believe.

 

Forgive me if this statement is ignorant to the subject (as I myself rather am) but wouldn't somebody who harboured the resources and/or knowledge to do something like the also be smart enough to keep their doings to themselves? Someone smart wouldn't be going around bragging about committing what are essentially criminal acts.

And the scope of those who could be suspected of this is incredibly large, not only do you have these users who seemingly are looking for a chance at e-infamy by claiming to be behind it, but we've potentially got thousands of users (over time) who have come here only to be scammed on their arrival. I'm sure a considerable percentage of these users would have some misguided anger at Sythe.org for the loss of their GPs and whatnot.

 

Kind of a side note but... A guy I knew a few years ago got sentenced to 5 years jail time for DDoSing in Turkey (I think he lived in turkey). He was Hi Im TLP on runescape Aka randy. He shared a botnet with I availed I and they had closed to 12k bots on it (I saw it personally via teamviewer). But yeah DDoSing is taken very seriously in real life. I know in some countries it isn't illegal though. And it's also very hard to track down a botnet.

 

I'd like to know what the monetary purpose is for the person paying for this to be done.


Also the fact that Sythe has to login and block the bots manually can't be much fun at all.

 

Assuming they own their own botnet this is free. It's not costing them a dime. They just set up the number of packets etc. etc. hit enter and go to bed.

 

Its a pro crime, someone has to be paying for this type of "skill".

Heh I told you I was somewhat ignorant to the issue, and as such its legalities.

The point I was making is that it would seem as if the people mentioned on this thread are most likely not affiliated with the attack because whoever carried it out would know the severity of their actions and the consequences if someone they told were to blab.

 

You would be surprised at the number of immature children with access to botnets.

 

This is very true. Botnets are not hard to come by.

 

Tengauge also asked me to vouch one of his ban evader accounts in tc.

 

Just so we know, this isn't tengauge. This guys IP resolves to New York, whereas Tengauge was from Illinois.

 

Even his new accounts?

I don't know why he'd be claiming to be called Ethan when he publicly disclosed that his name is Jonathan.
