Changing Password

Hey all, was just wondering if you could change your password without having to go through the email system? As i actually forgot the email login/password that is registered to the account. Anyway around this, ASAP please!

Thanks for that. Oh can i just do a normal recovery of the account like without email?

 

If there's an existing email set on the account, then you will have to receive a confirmation link through that particular email unless you have it linked to a different email. If you don't have the password, I would recommend following these guidelines directly from the Account Help section in Runescape.

 

So this requires me emailing jagex or...? How fast can i expect a reply?

In most cases a J Mod will get to you in under an hour, however it can take 24 hours, good luck

That's what I suggested without outright saying it. I would assume less than 5 days, but no sooner than 3 as it takes the email quite a bit since they're constantly backed up with queries.

 

Actually no, i had sent in an appeal of my son's acc being hacked (made it up ofc, but was actually hacked) and I was replied with an answer in about 4 hours.

 

Do i get a reply on the thread, or via messages?

 

The contents on the thread are hidden, therefore you'll receive an email.

But i didn't put an email or anything on it.. so i guess they'll message me using the website messages?

 

One of the instructions is, "The email address(es) you have or have had registered to the account." You should resubmit a reply on that topic , but this time make sure to answer ALL of the questions they have listed. I'm not positive if they'll leave you a response in the account inbox you used to submit all of your information. Just resend it and make sure to copy/paste the questions they asked so you can answer all of the correctly.

 

I have answered all of the questions correctly on a different account and also stated a contact email address. How long do you think i can expect a reply will take?
