Your actually 100% right lol, I did very poorly in school because I was focused on gaming/online over school, & I was lazy(still am infact somewhat).

My high school gpa was only a 2.6.

My ACT score(highest) was a 24(I had a nose bleed during this)& then a 21.

My SAT scores were also bad.


I dont mind admitting it lol, I'm good at business, not academics in high school with the drama & stress.

 

tbh, highschool wasn't my prime either and it also wasn't for a few friends of mine, but now we are very successful in college. We each had our own problems, mine being on the medical side, so I wasn't able to show who I was academically. Plus, everyone changes and matures too. Who knows, maybe if/when you pursue higher education, you'll actually do well

 

In highschool i was not motivated at all, was having like 60-65% in all my classes, same happened with the start of my college, wasn't motivated and wasn't too sure what I wanted to do for a living.

I've found out that I want to be a Lawyer and for that I need to have A/A+'s in all my classes for the next year.

My advice to you is really sit down with yourself and try and find what you want to do with your life, not just the next 5-6 years, try and find something that passionates you and go after it.

School is much easier when you have a goal / study in a field you enjoy

Lucky. I'm doing Computer Science at U of T and I'm paying $12,000 CAD($9,000 USD) a year for tuition plus a bit more for books, when required. Luckily I'm still at home so I won't have too much debt(I actually have 0 ATM due to working, but this will likely change next year) when I graduate. When I get out of school, if I am lucky I can start out at over $70,000 CAD($50,000 USD) per year otherwise it will be somewhere between 50,000 CAD($37,500 USD) - 60,000 CAD($45,000 USD) per year. Once I get more experience I will be looking at $100,000 CAD($75,000 USD)+ per year doing something that I will likely enjoy.

IMO settling for minimum wage is a huge waste of your time and the work you've done so far. You say your websites are making you 2.5x more than your new job yet you'd rather spend 5 hours a day working a shitty minimum wage job than expanding those to make you even more. You said you didn't make anything from gold re-selling. This is a huge market. There are billions traded every hour. If you spent your time advertising and expanding more into this niche rather than waiting for people to come to you, you would likely be wiping your ass with $15.00 per hour rather than being overly excited for earning that much. Since you obviously have nothing but the tip of the iceberg in this market, I assume it is the same for the other ones you are in, other than maybe the private server you own. Just my two cents.

Going to Uni in Aus/UK/EU is far better in terms of debt repayment.

In Aus, we only pay back student debt once we earn annually over $45,000, and that is to the extent of say a minimum of 5% - you can pay it all back in a lumpsum if you choose to do so.

For example, doing a 4 year finance/eco/commerce/law (courses relative to that field) would probably cost you $25-$30,000 if you went via government assisted payments (called HECS); which you then pay back once your annual threshold exceeds that of $45,000.
