Botting Bans

I got banned 2 weeks ago for botting, however, I never actually botted. So I was just wondering if Jagex still roll back accounts?

 

If you never botted, then its a probaly a mistake :/

 

Make an appeal to jagex, ive heard alot about bans which are given in mistake i think they need to fix up

 

Sounds like it could have possibly been a manual ban, or a mistake with the botwatch system. Have you ever had any other accounts banned?

Yeah that's what I was thinking it was. My other account hasn't been banned.

I have appealed but they've ignored it. Anyway, the ban time ends tomorrow so no point doing another one now. Just wondering if they'll roll back the progress.

 

You probably botted on another account and got Ip banned/flagged.

 

had a similar case, botted on an account, got a 24 hours ban, then stopped botting, one day later i got a perm ban, so yeah mostly a mistake, but my acc is still banned and i also got no reply from jagex

 

This isn't a mistake, this is how it works now.

Bot busting system caught you and applied an automatic ban giving the staff time to review your account and ensure they aren't mistaken, then the permanent manual ban was placed on the account as standard.

There is no three strike system as such any more, if you bot you'll probably get permed without warning.

Also, ignore the bot busting minor/moderate/major. This hierarchy only really applies to whether or not you've been botting a lot (over time) and have no significant impact on the length of the ban which will almost always be perm.

 

But what's the deal with the whole public embarrassing then?

How they won't let you use grand exchange or talk in cc, etc?

They wouldn't make that if they were going to perm you anyways. I wouldn't think at least, but then again I wouldn't think Jagex would be willing to look over hundreds if not thousands of accounts a day for botting bans to see if they messed up. Lol

I am in the same situation as you. Never botted, banned my main for that. It was in august, my appeal is still pending and got no answers from email. They dont care and you will have to let it go. Sorry man

 

The ban time has ended anyway.

 

If they wrongly banned you once, they could do it again. Contact them & ask exactly why were you banned when you didnt bot.

 

If it was a manual ban, appeal it and email [email protected] if they don't get back to you in the time taken between your ban and the unban. They are starting to look into players stories more now.

 

I've seen Mod Weath on twitter, he unbans players that have gotten wrongly banned several times a week. Regular costumer support is shit. It's all about contacting J-Mods through Twitter if you need help.

 

Guys the ban has ended. I didn't get a reply from Jagex when I emailed them 3 times.
