Downloading Media from Websites! [Firefox Needed]

Ever wanted to download video from YouTube?


I recently found a Firefox add-on to fulfill that desire.

This add on is called UnPlug.


UnPlug can be acquired here!

Now for the pictures and other steps.


Step One

Click "Add to Firefox"

Step Two

Accept the Terms and Conditions by clicking "Accept and Install"

Step Three

Click "Install Now"

Step Four

Restart Firefox

Step Five

Now, go to wherever the media you want is located, and access UnPlug either by clicking

OR by right clicking and selecting "UnPlug":

Step Six

By clicking that, you'll get a page similar to this:

Click on the one that is recommended.

Step Seven

It will download your file:

NOW! To convert the .flv to an .avi!

Now you've got the actual file downloaded, but you can't do much with it. Now to convert it into an .avi format so you can watch it, edit it, or share it.

Step One

Download Free FLV Converter from here

Step Two

Install Free FLV Converter

Step Three

Once installed, you're ready to begin converting your downloaded files to .avi files. This process is fairly simple.

Open up FLV Converter, and click on "Conversion from FLV"

Step Four

Select your file:

Step Five

Once you've got that open, change your output path by clicking on the

, which can be found here:

Step Six

Click Convert!

Step Seven

Your video will begin to convert, and will even show the output product here

Step Eight

Retrieve the file from whatever output directory you specified, and have fun .

Your video has been successfully converted to an avi format.

Mmm....Only like 4328798724109238342 guides on how to download from Youtube. However, since it features Mozilla add-ons, I like it. Easiest guide to follow as well. I'm assuming the add-on is only several hundred kb's?
