Help!

Ok, so i'm on my dads pos laptop. I was gone for two days, and i left my laptop locked, and on. When i come back, i turn it off, and try to start it. It Would go to the logon page. I would log on, but all it would show is a black screen. So i tryed in safe mode, and i could log on, and i did system restore. Now, i loaded it, and it won't even go to the regular logon page. I start it in safe mode, and it won't even go to logon page. Help!

keep re-booting, make sure you cold boot do not restart.

if it is vista the problem will eventually fix itself on a clean boot.

leave it off for 5 minuts

next tiem dont leave your laptop on for two days running rememebr that the bateeries have a life span and that it costs a lot to refill the NIHM or to replace

I don't think it's a battery problem, as i had it in a outlet.

Try to turn it off and let it cool down for a while.. sorry not much of a computer wiz

well if it is overheated then you gotta wait for a bit. something like this happend to my computer once. I ended up having to delete everything on it and start it all over again.
I would just go play a video game for about 30mins- 1 hour and then go and check it out again.

Well, i took it to a computer shop. Worst has come to worst, and i have to delete my $400 vista and install xp.


Good thing i backed up my hard drive yesterday.
VERY GOOD THING.
