Finally sort out Other Games

PokeMMO is dead, even Elena who is the person that frequents it the most agrees that it should be removed http://www.sythe.org/suggestions/1532123-removal-pokemon-mmo.html

Path of Exile has simply not turned out well and should be removed. The game has since come out and it did not result in a spike in activity.

Also when x339 and I said we should merge xbox sections with Other Games we didn't mean to just put them in a subsection in xbox. You should actually merge them into the sections themselves. Replacing all 3 xbox sections with Console discussion would be better - it would offer the chance to discuss PS3 also, and the other consoles that no one cares about like the Wii etc. Videos should be just placed within their respective sections - Console gaming in console discussion and like LoL or whatever in the LoL section.

The Minecraft subsection should be removed and just have Indie & Misc as is. The subsection just detracts from Indie & Misc since Minecraft is most of the discussion. It is not active enough to deserve a sub-section and simply makes it look inactive so people won't want to participate.

Strategy & Tactical is dead. Most of the threads within it belong in other sections anyways. It could be picked up by Indie & Misc for the small amount of threads that actually belong in Strategy & Tactical.

Handheld Gaming is doing terribly also, it could simply be picked up in another section.

Everything should now be put on the front page so we are left with

-WoW Discussion
-Diablo
-Other RPG's
-First Person Shooters
-Indie & Misc
-Console Discussion

Being on the front page will bring additional activity to already flourishing sections. 7 sections isn't too many either, it is comparable to all the other big sections.



Bonus suggestion: Scar/Simba section should be removed as it is a dead eye sore and isn't active enough to justify a spot on the front page, especially four pages. Sure, it may have been active previously but it definitely isn't anymore. It's crude layout and GUI setup when compared to other bots like powerbot etc means it will never be extremely popular. I know Sythe himself said that he wants it to remain on the front page, presumably because he believed the release of 07 scape would bring it extra attention but that has clearly fallen through. Not to mention most of the posts in it are people trying to buy scripts which belong in the market.

Forums and Categories would look way cleaner.
Perhaps the Scar/Simba could be somehow clustered or merged with another category?

 

Support. LoL should be top as suggested, has far more activity than WoW.

Definitely League of Legends should be up on top. One of the games that is popular on Sythe.Org. World of Warcraft is dropping a bit though.

Still waiting on the removal of Pokemon MMO as state in OP.
Dota 2 could be added though a lot of people were interested. Just a suggestion.

 

I've gotta admit; PokeMMO and PoE are both dead sections; they have no reason to be on the front page; but it will look too empty with just LoL and Other Games Discussion..

I think it seems more logical to have other games at the bottom; not the top.

 

Other Games is the overall forum, it is not something you can click on -.-

Basically it is just putting all the sub-forums on the front page

Yea its a reck again. I'd rather not a console section because then people just talk about everything in there.

 

Well the alternative is excluding PS3 and other consoles and just having xbox discussion like there is currently which has the same problem anyways. This problem will exist regardless, it just needs a sticky, a suitable section description and a bit of moderation and it will be fine.
