A List of how to obtain each Mini-Rank?

I don't know, but a lot of people do ask how to get each mini-rank, and I couldn't seem to find anything that tells you.

 

I was going to compile one a wee while ago but upon asking Roary for the exact post requirements for the ones that require x amount of posts within 1 week he said there shouldn't be a list or something (still disagree with this and am willing to compile it if that information was PMed to me)

 

Are they not given out by admin's correct me if i am wrong?

 

Some are automatic, for example the participant Mini-Ranks.

I think specifying a post amount defeats the purpose of them in the first place. Be active in said sections and you'll earn one.

 

I had a league of legends mini rank that went away.. I think you have to be active in order to receive a mini rank and maintain it by posting in that section.

 

Yeah, just found out it's like 10 posts a week.

 

If I still remember this when I get home I'll go ahead and put together a list (provided someone hasn't already).

I disagree with Roary that it needs to be kept vague. That's stupid.

If we say "post X times" then it defeats the purpose of the miniranks which was to promote activity in the section - the only thing accomplished by stating a number is X spam posts to get a minirank. Not necessarily "spam" but definitely not the quality there would be if it was unspecified and the requirement was just stated as activity.

Anyways, Matthew changed some of the post requirements and added more to busier sections and reduced the quiet sections so that thread will be a little out of date.

 

Quite frankly I believe it's too vague currently so no one really cares to try and get them anyways. At least once a week someone asks if there is a list anyways. There is clearly a demand for a list, why not give it to them?

You guys are too worried about spam, activity and a little bit of spam is always preferable to less activity and less spam. Spam is one of the reason sythe.org has moderators anyways.

You can usually find people trading/selling/buying mini ranks in the sand box.
(Sythe/Admins and other members usually hold competitions within the sandbox for mini-ranks and the rare occasion a fun rank)

Posting X amount of times can range from 5 times to 20 times, please do not PM a staff member or make a thread about your mini rank, these mini ranks are auto-mated and the system will reward you with your mini rank within 7 days.
You only keep this mini rank for a week, before the system rolls over and you lose it unless you've been active within the section for the second week also.​

 

Amendment to the sythe awards ones, you can win any category and receive them.

Also there is only 1 potato

 

Thanks Jack, I've never been around for the year awards so I assumed it was the same as Sythe monthly.

Also, changed the potato to just given out as a reward.
