stupidest way you have lost money?

So I was just hanging out in w326 on my rwt account and I decide I want to train it up a little because trading on a lvl 3 isnt the smartest thing to do, so obviously I start kicking men. I kicked 2 men to death and lost 5hp so I was pretty sure I would be fine killing another one, I click to attack but then something else catches my attention, a stake or youtube I minimize the screen and forget about it for an hour.

I come back to sell some gp and of course the account died leaving just 2gp, thankfully it only had 20-40m on it so it isnt too bad I'm pretty sure some random f2p guy picked it up and almost died of excitement, but I have no clue, wherever it is I'm sure the guy is happy so I cannot complain.

Anyone else lost money is dumb ways or is it just me?

RIP 600m in a couple of minutes

 

A few months after OSRS came out I was scammed for ranger boots that I got from a clue scroll. During the trade he said that he will give me 15m for them (they were around 12m at the time if I remember correctly) if I meet his alt account in fally and offered a tele tab. I was really tired since it was ~2am for me so I accepted the trade not realizing I forgot to remove the ranger boots. Felt like a dumbass afterwards because I'm usually wary of scams and it was my first time getting scammed in runescape since I started playing in 2005

I tried to quit OSRS and had a 100M drop party. I would ask noobs for directions like an idiot, and if they took me there I would give them 1M. And now I'm back

 

Drop trading to a f2p account before I knew about the f2p restrictions on 07. Suffice to say the GP never appeared.

 

I knew this one guy who was dumb enough to afk with 250M 07 RSGP like two years ago and died by a random with the gp

As for me I once took like 2M (which was a ton to me when I was like 11) into the wildy and didn't realize it until I died. I was like furious and my 11 year old self was like aldjaklsdjalkdj

I've never lost money in a stupid manner in game. Unless of course you count staking/dicing/games of chance in which case all i do is lose money in a stupid manner.

 

Always gambling. Other than falling to "doublers" and "Armour Trimmers" when I was a lot younger.

 

Been hit with many stupid ways of losing money in the past. Mainly staking, getting lured, and my accounts being hacked.

 

Giving out my bankpin to a fake Jagex Customer Support so I basically gave my bankpin to the hacker which took away 1B+ RS3GP in total from 3 of my accounts. Took me a year to get it all back while I didn't know Sythe.

 

Gamblong has cost me my bank over and over again. At this point my main is still cleaned and i play my ironman full time lol.

 

Catfished for my green phat a few years back. Lost my blue phat in a trust trade a week afterwards. Sad times ;(
