Scream; TV Series.

Does anybody actually watch it? I've read all the reviews on Imdb, 50% bad, 50% good.

Should I just watch it? And is it just like any other Scream movies? Normal mask killer targeting few people? Or is there actually a good story-line and good acting?

For anyone looking to watch this still - DO IT. I thought it would be absolute crap but I think it's actually really underrated and a great time killer as well. It's a whodunit type series and it's in its second season now. I love the show but it's pretty unknown.

Season 1 is on Netflix if you're interested. And if you're in the UK it's considered a Netflix original and all new episodes are immediately added to it.

 

I watched season 1, but I haven't gotten to watching the second one yet. How is season 2?

It was garbage But I felt that way about the movies and didn't think the show's plotline was much more substantial.

 

The Scream franchise has always had a kind of oddity and asinine logic behind it that you either love or hate. If you hate it, it's utter garbage. If you love it, you love it. It's funny how simple you can reduce it to really.

It's funny because half my family loves it, half hate it. If someone doesn't like the movies, they won't like the show.

 

@OrangeCounty something to add though - keep in mind that the actors in the show are all pretty much fresh out of college. That's pretty much their first real job / TV show. For that I think they deserve kudos, because it could have been so much worse.

I totally agree the plotline is formulaic and simple, and MTV having the show certainly did not help give it a serious vibe as MTV is so bad lol.

You might still think it's shit after, but the second season was actually pretty strong.

 

I still think more people need to give this show a shot. I'm rewatching it now. If you get over the corniness and realize it's not going to be a Breaking Bad level production, you will enjoy this show. Especially if you like thrillers and whodunnits.

I actually didn't solve the S1 killer.
S2 I knew from early on.

Lol this is how I feel about it. It's good mindless television.

 

That's the reason I like this series as well. You don't have to think to watch it, and after a long day of school and homework, I don't want to think to understand television.

 

For most of them it's their first mainstream TV Series as well, so all things considered I thought they did well. Save for some chemistry issues between actors/actresses, but I mean it's a fricken MTV show lmao.

 

They're all a group of IRL friends from New Orleans which is where it's shot @Admires . That's pretty boss imagine getting cast with your friends in a TV show. And Scream has some brand power and the movies were always corny and silly and over the top. I'd totally geek out about being in Scream, even if it's just to die LUL
