    hi i was wondering if anyone could give me the link to visual basic to download because i cant seem to find it anywhere lol! thanks.:)

    I recommend starting with .Net, as it is newer technology and is constantly updated. The old version 6 is still somewhat usable for minor tasks, but nothing that you can't do in .Net (and you can do a lot more in .Net, trust me).

    You can download free .Net express editions from http://www.microsoft.com/express.

    thanks but it asks me to download windows xp service pack 2 and wen i try it wont upgrade so thts why im asking for vb6 because i only want to make web browsers/toolbars/somethink like eliteswitch and then once i get my computer for christmas ill change to .net

    mxextreme if you want a download link just look at other posts in this forum lots of them still work i just downloaded vb6 like 4 days ago but ive been using VBA AND VB6 PORTABLE before that for three years

    I agree with Swan, you should start using .net framework as VB6 is slowly going, and how are you running XP on SP1 ? SP3 is out now, im sure thats very unsafe

    Yea, VB6 won't be supported on Windows 7 which will be released in 2010.
