Getting back into rs3(poll question too)

May or may not be looking to get back into rs3... i wouldn't mind hoping on here and there but its only fun now a days when you've got people to play with. if anyones interested doing whatever on there shoot me a pm on here, send me a kik: hyped_motion or Skype me Juliens22

 

Rs3 is sooo messy. It's a ruined version of OSRS I remember the day when the update came and every1 quit. It was a fucking bs from jagex. I had many nice accounts, they should have made a new version of RS and not update the current to it. But luckily we got OSRS back..

 

I agree. RS3 has too many menus and options. I liked the way the game was in 07 and I think they could have succeeded updating the game rather than completely changing it.

It's hard to get people to adopt change. Jagex took a leap of faith and quickly realized they needed 07scape to bring back many old players.

 

agreed with you guys, they definitely should have made a new server for their eoc and WaW bs instead of messing up what they had going so good for so long.

 

I was anti rs3 at the start, would never go back now... new content literally every week and persoanlly i find it funner than 07. EOC isnt actually that bad once your used to it. Yes... i wouldnt go back to the old combat system 0.0

 

I personally prefer Rs3, 07 just isn't as good personally. It was good back in the day but yea, when I do play I personally prefer rs3.

 

I play on both 07 and Rs3 Daily, recently though Rs3 is only been for xfering gold to my 07 account or finishing up my Trim requirements. Been playing 07 solo the past 2 weeks and have been loving it.

 

everyone thinking rs3 is ruined should go ack and play it for a couple of days. the combat system has been perfectly balanced now, they have fixed a ton of stuff since the initial release.

If you have already tried it and still think it sucks then fair enough, but i'm pretty sure a ton of people are basing their opinion off of how it was back when eoc was first released

 

To me the saving grace of Rs3 is legacy. The problem with it is, pking and bossing are virtually impossible on legacy. Sure there are legacy pking worlds but no one uses them. It's almost as if they added legacy to shut people up, but you can't even play efficiently with it. I definitely prefer 07 and think Rs3 is vastly overdone. It's not even RuneScape anymore.

 

I made an account strictly for Pking in RS3 legacy mode. If you can avoid the griefers (There are lots sadly), World 18 Pking can still be pretty fun.

 

They're implementing Bh/Bounty Hunter back into Rs3, should see some rise in community numbers and are remaking the Cruciple, both with a Highscore Ranking System.- all in all, should be fun for the 1st few weeks.

 

Omg dude, the Crucible back in the day. That was my jam. Most fun I had in PVP aside from when Bounty Hunter had the craters. I remember being the max combat for the low crater and I would absolutely destroy people. I would always hunt people trying to transfer Easter Eggs between accounts because Jagex was too daft to patch it (this was when the trade limit was implemented so people would transfer through Easter Eggs).

I made so much money from cratered BH. Not so much the Crucible, but the Crucible was so fun when it first released.

 

Think of this, Jagex has priority in the main game, RS3. When 07 dies, RS3 will go on.

 

Popularity is split down the middle if not a little in favor of 07.

But the revenue RS3 creates is a lot higher because of the MTX.

However I don't foresee either game dying in the next 5+ yrs. Jagex's Runescape Chronicle is actually insanely successful - Jagex might have found their next big cash cow. If they don't put it into more failed projects, they'll be in really good shape.

Not to mention the chinese investor money they've got now.

 

Recently I've wanted to get into RS3 but it seems like a completely different game now and I'd have no idea where to even begin. The graphics and content they have been adding seem to be interesting but I had the new combat system with a passion and last time I tried I felt like I was at a disadvantage with Legacy mode.

 

Anyone trying to get into RS3 shouldnt even touch Legacy mode. Legacy mode has a few niche uses in RS3 but beyond that, pretend it doesnt exist. If youre having trouble with learning the combat system, try Revolution mode. Its a great way to learn without feeling too overwhelmed as it will automatically use your basic abilities for you so you can focus on thresholds, ultimates, eating, prayers, etc. The RS wiki is also extremely helpful for RS3. Ive got a few friends who help run it, they update that thing hourly.

I personally prefer RS3, but I havent played much 07. I do enjoy it when Ive tried playing, as thats around the time I began playing RS, but starting from scratch makes it lose its appeal for me

 

in addition to what everyone has been saying about legacy mode vs EOC, its true that its next to impossible to boss or pvp. what i really like that they implemented is the ability to have EOC combat with legacy interface, it keep my smaller scrawny less cluttered but i still get the function of abilities and such.

 

I got boosted to 65 defence so I could wear third age.

 

I suggest you dip on rs3 and join 07 perm, rs3 is way to fucky and messed.
