Desert Treasure, Fareed (Cant cast mage spells without staff)

Hi guys I need some help on Desert Treasure...you can not use magic spells anymore without a staff and you can not fight Fareed with a wep in your hand without ice gloves. My question is: Does dwarf multi cannon work on Fareed or should i get 50 mining to get ice gloves? Many Thanks.

 

When I kill him in the Dominion Tower I find that running away and ranging him works if you're quick and do one attack at a time, this is without ice gloves. You could also make your familiar attacking him, spirit kyatt etc. would work. Also if you have an off-hand weapon equipped you will be able to attack with that even if he removes your main-hand weapon.

 

You don't need ice gloves unless you're meleeing him. I killed him with snare and water blast.

 

Just use mage and snare him and you'll easily beat him, he's not even hard.

 

Thanks Cruellx the off-hand method worked, to ifinnal and I DONT BOT you cant use mage as you cannot use spells without a staff anymore and you wouldn't be able to wield a staff without ice gloves.
