Best f2p mage equipment

Can anyone tell me what the best magic staff or wand is?

Bat Wand Accuracy: 704
Law Staff Accuracy: 530
Gravite Staff Accuracy: 899

Why do I still see people in the wilderness using the law staff if the Bat Wand is better? I'm assuming I'm misunderstanding some aspect of the eoc system though.

Likely because of the effort to get a Gravite weapon. Losing one would mean putting in more effort. Wereas the other crap is easily accessable on the G.E.

humpo certainly did answer your question, its because gravite isn't worth the time to get the tokens when you can just buy a staff instantly. its simply not worth the small bonus.

 

I see so many gravite and law staves, that's why I assumed the numbers were wrong or I was misinterpreting them.

Accuracy isn't the most important aspect..

A wand casts much faster than a staff which is good, but due to the nature of the fight (using abilities) the cast time does not matter very much because you will be using your abilities 'instantly' without having to wait for your spells to be cast automatically. This means that you can attack with the staff at the same rate as they can attack with their wands. Gravite staff, and all staves in general deal more damage than a wand. This base damage is what contributes to the hits of your abilities and so is very important. The only time a wand would be better is if you needed to wear a shield or wanted to use momentum. The staff also requires 55 magic while the wand only requires 50, making it better just because of jagex's new system.

But seriously you suck, and most links on google are both old and don't have the information I'm looking for. Also, signs of a shitty forum: people commenting "google it" to get their post count up.

 

I'd personally use a wand because it's faster than a staff, and doesn't take time to get unlike gravite, but if you do a lot of dg anyways just use gravite.
