name unavailable bug? :S

okaaay so this girl had her login and display the same a year ago, she changed to a different name and her original name came AVAILABLE in green, i didn't take it back then, and now she's like quit and if i add her old name, it says "unknown player" nobody took it. I remember it was Available for some time after she changed to the other name, now it however says "Unavailable" even though it was freaking available and nobody has taken it since??? It had "Suicidal" in it. :s but I don't think jagex would go banning a old username that's not even in use as a display.

Then there was a different person, she changed to a different name also and has it today, her login name also says "unknown player" and when I try to take it, it says: "unavailable" ???? why can't I take those when nobody even has those?

Does jagex reserve login names after 1-2 years?? >_< =|

 

Takes 6months to be aviable after quit,even if green.

 

The account/name was banned.

It works like this

[Display name 1] (Previous)
[Display name 2] (Current)

Display name 1 will not become available for quite a few months if the account keeps display name 2, but if they change their name again it will become free.

Display name 1 (Available)
Display name 2 (Previous)
Display name 3 (Current)

And that can be done within only two months.

 

AAaahhh i seeee thank you SO MUCH Crueelllex. They BOTH have that in common!! They only changed it ONCE.
You're the best.. I changed my mains name over 3 times and it's original name is available.

But the 1st one... I remember it was available! Even though she changed it once, it was after alot of time tho, but now it isn't available at all :'(
