Get First Month Of RS2007 Free

Mod Phoenix has recently posted that whoever votes to bring back RS2007 will get their first month of play free http://services.runescape.com/m=forum/l=0/sl=0/forums.ws?14,15,709,64247767.

Basically, if you pay the small fee of $8 membership right now to vote, you will save money when RS2007 goes up (depending on how much membership will cost then). Honestly, I don't see any losing in this. Many people complained that Jagex is simply doing this as a quick way to boost their profit margins, which is true, but why not take advantage of this offer? I myself have quit Runescape but today I upgraded a new account just so I could vote. I'm going to be playing RS2007 anyways so why not pay now and help the vote rather then wait on other players to do the voting for me and fail to reach maximum potential. Since RS2007 is guaranteed to come, I advise whoever is going to be playing to pay for membership (if you haven't already) and contribute to the cause as you cannot avoid the inevitable cost.

I did the same thing. I quit and then bought a membership just to vote. I cant wait until the 07 comes out. To bad im leaving for the army in july though so i wont have much time to play :l

 

Fucking £5 membership fee. What a rip off. Voted anyway.

If you intend to play on the 2007 servers, there really is no reason not to vote.

 

Told myself I wouldn't pay to vote but ended up getting a RS membership card for free so decided I'd vote and mess around on Runescape. Haven't played in over a year and damn has it gone to shit. Can't wait for the 2007 servers to come. Started playing in 2003/2004 and actually had a reason to fish and what not rather tan just buying gp.

There will always be those tight bastards which will wait for 2007scape to become f2p as well as p2p, which one day it inevitably will. Because we've hit the amount where the game is guarenteed, even players who don't want to play should still vote purely because it helps make it cheaper for those who do.

 

We got 200k votes in 4 days. There are 10 days left until the polls are closed. If everyone just loosens up their pockets and becomes members to vote we could definitely reach the 500k mark, or if were lucky, the 700k mark. If you get membership now its basically like getting 2 for the price of 1 because you'll be members this month and you'll get free membership when RS2007 comes out.

If you don't have membership and you're only subscribing again to vote in the poll, don't bother paying the full $8 to restart your membership if you don't play 2013scape considering everyone will be starting at level three anyway. Instead, make a new account (or several) since new accounts get membership for just $2.

 

That method does not work anymore. Jagex has patched it as of 2 days ago.

 

Why would they "patch it" what's to patch wasn't that a legitimate offer they had made? Seems like they are just money hungry which is disappointing.

After reading the endless lectures that Jagex Mods have given on the RS forums about how it is wrong to be apathetic towards other voters and not renew your membership especially to ensure that the poll will be a success I wouldn't be surprised if this person was a Jagex employee.. Rofl.
