I quit getting on for awhile when Fallout 4 came out... But I'm stalking the forums again... And I found some more acoustic stuff, that isn't even punk... But I thought I'd share it here like I did the folk-punk because I don't have anywhere else to put it...

Out of 23 years, I've never found a band that I could relate to EVERY one of their songs... Hell, as emotional and depressed as I get, you might even call it emo-folk, I'm not sure... Someone I shared it with called it "new age urban folk" on facebook... But anyway... Here ya go...

2nd one has a little bit more of a punk tone to it...

Oh shit, crywanks new album is pretty rad! Didn't know it came out, certainly seems more abrasive, I like it.

I've been jamming more pop punk and ska lately lol. Mostly corny old shit, I guess I'm being sentimental. I'd give anything to be a kid again.

Basement has been my absolute jam lately, been also digging some Title Fight from:

and then I've also been loving one of my old favourite bands singers new band but it's a fair bit heavier than general 'punk' I guess, more hardcore:

    Classics like:

    Creeping up there too.

Basements is pretty rad, liked the joy division cover too. Didn't care for I am Zero at all, I'm not typically into HXC styled hardcore. Mainly just hardcore punk.

Its pretty wild how much ceremony has changed, I recall seeing them in 07 local dive. They played violence violence in its entirety, an infest cover and a sneak peak at still nothing moves you. They were touring with some awful crust band and a local power violence band opened up for them, there was a thriving scene here for quite some time but its long gone unfortunately. Hadnt listened to the new album yet, seems even weirder than rohnert park but maybe it'll grow on me, will give it a few go's. The used to have a trans or tranny guitarist, at the very least a very odd fellow in drag. He was wearing a prince shirt, glittery woman's bell bottoms and makeup, he was an odd one but played great.

Well I listen to a lot of Street punk (Oi! music). Going to Blackpool to see some bands live. Listen mostly to Lion's law, Cock sparrer, Booze & Glory, skinflicks and The Last Resort. And if you are a punk fan I'd suggest going to the rebellion festival there in August. http://www.rebellionfestivals.com/ Tons of great bands playing. Be sure to check it out!

Yeah, I Am Zero is a bit weird. The song just caught me off guard and I enjoyed it somewhat. I used to be heavy into Hardcore scene as I'm from Byron Bay, Australia and it's kinda just a thing here, every kid would go out to shows with Parkway & In Hearts Wake that played every week at our local Youth Centre for a 5 dollar note. We definitely had some good underground bands come out of here but they broke up; bands like Word Up!, Retriever, FACEHATE, SPRAY, Shackles and a few others.

Do you know of any good Power Violence bands at the moment? I used to be in a PV band as vocals but we broke up due to the scene just dying and no-one coming out to shows anymore because of everyone moving to this mainstream post-hardcore clean vocals bullshit that people listen to now.

Its funny you're from Aus and I'm from TX and yet the same thing more or less happened to our local scenes. The metal scene here still thrives, but its stagnating more or less. I don't know any new bands, most of my punk friends have moved on or are dead unfortunately and I listen to a lot of other shit these days. My favorite PV band was probably Spazz, some local heroes were machine gun romantics. I met the singer working at GameStop 7-8 years ago lmao.

Anyways your other post got me obsessed with the album colourmeinkindness again lol.

Funny you say that, I've been listening to a lot of catch 22 and mustard plug lately. What are you listening too specifically?

Hadn't heard it, pretty neat. Shoulda named the project Jenny Thunders hehehe, a lot of the tonal jumps/yells remind of johnny freaking out. I mean this in the best way possible.

Saccharine Trust are really fucking weird, thats a tall order. There were some weird SST and Dischord bands around that era.. Even late black flag started to incorporate a little jazz, especially on the instrumental process of weeding out.

Beefeater kinda fits the bill, although they are a bit more funky:

Television has always screamed Jazz to me:

The Taxpayers definitely incorporate jazz and a lot of other influences into their music:

Minutemen used to tour with Saccharine Trust back in the day and were also weird and sorta Jazzy:

Honorable mentions: Meat Puppets, Flipper and Butthole Surfers.
