Zerker/Range Training Questions

Hey guys! I am a 45 defense zerker.

I am getting 99 strength but before that I would like to get 80 range just to have it and to make fire cape easier.

1.How many iron knives would it take to go from 75-80 range using the following setup?

2. Are ranging potions worth the extra cost?




* Also I am botting it using a pretty versatile script, atm I am fighting caged ogres using range pots and iron arrows and getting ~30k/hr which is pretty low

1) not sure how many, but maybe take 20k just to be safe, that would likely be enough I would think.

2) it depends on how much it increases your xp/hr, if it increases it by 20% then I would say it's worth it. But if you have enough cash, just use them anyway.

 

Since you're botting, it would be more cost efficient and probably quicker to use the range guild for your levels.

 

If you can bot ranging guild at 70-80% efficiency it'll be better xp than what you're doing now.

However, if you still want to train at ogres, you should definitely stick with iron knives. It's definitely better than iron arrows.
I wouldn't recommend ranting potions unless you really can afford them.

 

I cannot bot range guild=/ So about 20k iron knives? Thats a lot haha

 

75-80 Range will be more than 20K iron Knives I reckon. I would guess around 30K or so.

I may be wrong though. I just got 70 Range and I used around 10K iron knives from like 65-70 (i'm trying to remember so may be unaccurate). While using dhide, robin hat, fury, archer ring, etc.

Who knows though. I'd stick to caged ogres. You can get some nice seed drops there. Just squeeze through the opening on the left side of the cage and grab em.
