Explanation of the trade: He contacted me on discord, asking me about my account, i showed the account to him on a call, after which he made a group with me and the 'client'. That's when he told me that he would be the middleman and I asked to see his vouches. I was uncomfortable giving access to the account to him so I asked for a different middleman, after which the 'client' wanted to stop the conversation and told how much he had traded with Zaros and how he is the only one he trusts, even though I suggested Faker, a well known middleman on here.

How they scammed: They (more likely him on both accounts imo) were probably attempting to persuade me into transferring the account to Zaros and the payment would have never come.

Sorry to hear that... I wasn't 100% confident that they were attempting to scam but I thought I'd report the suspicious behavior just in case my suspicions were right. At the very least now it's confirmed

If it weren't for the other report, I would decide that the behavior wasn't suspicious enough to warrant action by the platform, because we can't assume it's an alt account, and we can't safely make that conclusion based on the evidence provided in this report alone - the chat logs above.
Refusing to use a middle-man, or in this case, refusing to use a middle-man with a relatively higher amount of vouches on Sythe, is allowed and cannot be considered malicious by the staff.

However, considering the other report and the fact that we haven't heard from the accused, even though a simple screenshot of a conversation with his client could confirm his story, I think it's safe to assume that this was an attempt at scam.
