achievment capes

For many years of Runescape's history, some people would argue that having 99 in a skill was pointless. They did have some good arguments. Their first point was that there is only a slight difference in ability between a person who got 99 in a skill, and a person that stopped leveling after "maxing out" a skill. A person with only 50 mining is able to mine iron almost as well as a person that has 99. Their other point was that you would get no recognition for your hard work if you got 99 in something that didn't affect your combat level. The only skills that really needs 99 to do everything in it is smithing and construction, and combat skills will affect your combat level so other people can see it. But cooking? Fletching? Who would know that you've spent hours of your time clicking those lobsters and that fire, or that you've seen thousands of bow strings through your inventory?

Naturally, they would also argue that doing quests was equally pointless. For the most part, quests are aimed at the middle level player instead of the higher level player. Therefore, most of the rewards will not benefit the higher level. And of course, there was no recognition for it. Sure, you could get a nice cape to signify you finished a quest, but it's not as strong as other capes most of the time, and sooner or later, thousands of people have it as well, making the feeling of accomplishment go away.

Finally, Jagex decided that the unrecognized, dedicated people who actually work to get 99 in a skill or spend time completing every quest should get their well-deserved recognition. With the release of achievement capes, you can walk into a crowd and be recognized for what you have done. To show off even more, you can even use a special emote that is specifically related to your cape! Not only do they look great, but they also have a rather nice defence bonus.

When you reach 99, you will be given a congratulatory message in your text box area that tells you that you can now wear the achievement cape. Get 99k gp, and find the "master of the skill" that you want. When you talk to them, you will be given the option to buy the skill cape. If you do, you get the cape and a matching hood.

If instead of doing skills, you enjoy doing quests, then you can get the quest point cape. You won't get a message saying that you have completed every quest, so just go to the Wise Old Man if you have. When you log on after a new quest has been released, you will see a message telling you that a new quest has been released, and the cape and hood will appear in your inventory. If you do not have enough inventory space, they will try to go to your bank. If your bank happens to be full as well, the Wise Old Man will find them laying on the ground and hold them for you free of charge. You will not be able to wear the hood or the cape until after you complete the newest quest. Just remember, completing the quest may not be the only thing you have to do. A good example is the Rag and Bone Man quest. After you finish the main part of the quest, you have to complete his wish list to actually be considered as finished.

If you are one of those persistent people who have reached 99 in more than one skill, you get a special reward. Instead of a plain cape that only has the symbol of your skill, you will get that cape with a coloured trim on its' edges. There is no price difference, and you get the same stats as a normal skill cape except for an additional +4 prayer bonus.

Do the capes do anything else you ask? Of course they do. A little flash isn't all that useful and rewarding is it? If you put on the cape, the matching skill's max level will increase to 100. Alternately, you can right click the cape if you are wearing it and click operate. How is this helpful? A 1 level difference can be helpful in completing tasks. Lose your cooking gauntlets? You will burn next to no sharks at 100 cooking! There are many other uses for it as well, such as rune mining in the wilderness, or fishing sharks. The higher your level, the easier it is to get these hard to obtain materials. If you have a cape for a skill that having 100 in does not make any difference, it is still wonderful to see one of your stats in the triple digits without drinking a potion.
ps:you can get 120 str with super str pot.

grand exchange

The Grand Exchange is a world spanning exchange market, located at the heart of Misthalin in Varrock. The exchange can be used to buy and sell any tradeable item in Runescape. Members have the ability to conduct up to six trades at a time and free to play players have the ability to conduct up to two trades at a time. The exchange has some distinctly unique features which allow for efficient trading.

Players can trade across worlds without having to leave their own.
Players can purchase large quantities of items from multiple players in only one transaction.
If goods are listed on the exchange the trade can still go through even if one player is offline.
The Grand Exchange is located North-West of Varrock's West Bank. (Highlighted in green)

The best ways to access the Grand Exchange are as follows:

Teleport to Varrock.
Use a Spirit tree to access the spirit tree within the Grand Exchange.
Teleport to the Edgeville fairy ring (DKR) and use the shortcut next to the canoe station. (21 agility required)
Teleport to Edgeville and use the shortcut next to the canoe station. (21 agility required)
Teleport to Edgeville using the Ancient Home Teleport spell and use the shortcut next to the canoe station. (21 agility required)

In order to use the Grand Exchange you must first go through a brief tutorial. To receive this tutorial you must speak to Brugsen Bursen or the Grand Exchange Tutor, both are located on the south side of the exchange. They will run through a brief tutorial explaining how the exchange works.

Trade Experts are located all around the Grand Exchange. They will be able to give you information on the most common items that are used in Runescape ranging from pure essence to dark bows. For further information, see the table below.

When attempting to buy an item via the exchange you must have enough gp to cover the sale and you must know the name of the item you wish to purchase.

When finishing a trade it is possible to have some gp refunded. If the price you were willing to pay was larger than the sellers, that difference in gp will be refunded to your collection box.

When attempting to sell an item via the exchange all you will need to have is the item in your inventory.

If the price of your item drops above or below the Grand Exhange's range (of 5% from the market value), that item will not be sold

To make trading items in the exchange much easier a set system was introduced. For example, instead of having to buy or sell black dragonhide body, chaps and vambraces as three separate items they can be turned into a set and purchased or sold as one.

Sets that can have either legs or a skirt are denoted by (l) for legs or (s) for skirt.

Selling Sets

To turn armour into a set you must have all of the correct pieces in your inventory. Once you have the correct pieces speak to an exchange clerk, find the corresponding set and click "exchange". Once you have undertaken the exchange you will find that your items have disappeared and have been replaced with a set box. This set can now be sold in the exchange as one item.

Buying Sets

Once you have purchased your set from the Grand Exchange you need to convert it back into its original components, as let's face it wearing a box in combat wont help you very much. Take the box to the exchange clerk and click the "exchange" option. Once the exchange screen comes up, right click the set in your inventory and click "exchange". The box should now be replaced with the set items.

The table below shows all the possible armour sets and what their components are.

Metal Armour
Barrows Armour
Third Age Armour
Dragonhide Armour
Magic Armour
Trimmed Metal Armour
Magic Treasure Trail Armour
Treasure Trail Range Armour
God & Gilded Metal Armour
Waterbirth Armour
