Market Lounge

Hi,

I suggest we have a market lounge for all markets in one forum. Basically this is where the marketplace could be discussed and people could form partnerships etc.

I knew there was that one , however why don't we have a global one?

 

What is the purpose of having a global market lounge?

Simply so WoW players can discuss about RS to other RS players and vice versa?

If so, simply visit the appropriate Market Lounge section which are already there.

More of like a "has anyone bought from here/him/her" or "looking to form a partnership" or proposing a product. This would bring all the marketers together so that they can interact easier.

 

I don't think a global one is necessary. It would be 90% Runescape related, and the rest confusion. Organization is good.

 

I'm talking about a market lounge not centered around price checks but more where marketers can go to discuss different things with other marketers.

 

There isn't enough activity in any other market than Runescape to justify a 'Global Market Lounge'. The Runescape market is already covered, so there is no need.

 

So what if I wanted to form a partnership for something non rs related?

 

Doesn't justify making an entire new section; they're PMs and you can even post in the specific market sections stating you are looking for a partner. If the mods don't like where you posted it, then they will either lock it and tell you where you should post it or usually just move it to the more preferred section for the discussion.

 

Serperate market section is whats best, and what we have, no need for a global one.

I don't know the person though in this case so how would I know their MSN if I don't know they wanta partnership too.

 

I like this idea a place to discuss safe trading habits etc. which aren't solely based around runescape, it would be nice but I don't think sythe has enough off- runescape market related users, I know WoW doesn't have a big market considering there's honestly only 2-3 people you would trust with a WoW account on here. There is more games coming out soon though which might possibly have a market such as swtor which is supposed to be released soon, I think its fine as it is currently but once more games come out with online markets it would be nice to see a larger expansion to market lounge follow it. The only thing remotely market related I could think of would be related to investing and payment methods which can already be discussed in the current market lounge.

 

I don't see why not? even if there isn't enough users LIKE the rs sections, how much space/effort would it take to make it? i mean it's worth trying even minecraft has it own forum and that thing is pretty dead for the most part

 

Either you have a market thread, or you have a game thread. Market threads go in the market, game threads go in their respective game discussion forum. There's no need for a market lounge to talk about games when we have game discussion forums.

 

You're wrong or have missed the idea. The market is for buying and selling, game discussion forums are for discussing that game. A Market Lounge is a discussion venue for marketers/traders to get feedback on their product/upcoming product(s).

 

That is what the vouch system is for, and as Moh said there are market sections for the market and gaming sections for the games. Want to start a pawn shop business with someone - post it in the real life item section or want to start a neopets neopoints business - post in the other games section. It would be very messy and hard to find what you wanted unless you made a subsection for each market which just defeats the point.
