Safest ways to transfer money online?

Couldn't decide where to ask this at, but what is YOUR most preferred method of payment?


Also how does being paid through Amazon work? The person with a paypal sends you money via amazon right? Does this help prevent fraud?


And how about Mail money orders? Are those fraud proof?


(Asking because I am selling 2 PS1 games via craigslist, and he has a PP, and offered to do the Money Order instead. He is a little too far away of a drive for the merchandise so we are going to do the mailing thing.)

I've always loved paypal, because everyone knows it, but it's not the safest, I think WU is the safest.

 

WU is the safest because the money is manually transfered to the person, not through a credit/debit card or bank.

 

Paypal, I think, is the safest way to pay although it does tell the other person the name on your account and PayPal is also GAY. Amazon would be my second, but you can't buy anything online with Amazon.

Being paid through Amazon is easy. Someone with a CC will just buy a Amazon Gift Card or get it off of a raffle site or GPT site and they will give you the card with how much ever is loaded on it. You then redeem the Amazon Gift Card onto your Amazon account and you can buy things with your Gift Card balance. You can't send money directly to another person's Amazon account I don't believe. Yes, Amazon helps prevent fraud but you have to make sure the Amazon GC is legit and not carded/fake.

Not sure on money orders

 

Getting money sent to your PayPal account, then sending that money to your bank account, which therefore you can withdraw.

 

paypal causes chargebacks which is consiered not safe and use liberty reserve or wu as safest methods to transfer money to others

 

Sell items for gp then sell the gp on PlayerAuctions. Money would be transferred to your paypal then you can transfer to bank account with no risk of a chargeback.

 

He's selling on craigslist for money..

I'd say WU would be safest.
