    Interac e-transfers: Good Payment Method?

So i'm not so sure about the security of interac-etransfers

    Direct quote from Interac's site:
"Always be careful when sending money
An Interac e-Transfer transaction cannot be reversed once the recipient of the funds has deposited the transfer. You must obtain a refund directly from the recipient."

I also called interac e-transfer's inquiry line and they said you can't reverse payments.

Yet as dorian posted below and arcus said on MSN, there's still a risk of chargebacks when using this method. I'd really appreciate if someone could clear this up for me, thanks :)

It is an online payment which means it can be chargeback-able. Whether it is easy, it is a coin flip. If someone is paying a ridiculously high price for unlimited amounts, then be weary.

Necroing this thread I know, but I recently noticed that on Interac e-transfer's FAQ it says:

"Always be careful when sending money
An Interac e-Transfer transaction cannot be reversed once the recipient of the funds has deposited the transfer. You must obtain a refund directly from the recipient."

I also called interac-etransfers inquiry line and they said you can't reverse payments.

Cannot be charged back, so if your sending money and you get scammed that's that. If your receiving, you could very well scam and not lose money so be careful when using this method for buying anything.

Basically, if someone pays you from a stolen bank account, you're going to have problems. It's not Liberty Reserve... reversals can happen.
