If you found out your best friend was gay, would you still be friends with them?

If my best friend was gay, I'd be cool with it, I'd still be best friends with them.

And please TELL the truth.

 

Obviously I'd still be best friends with them. One of my best friends are gay. We get along just fine They're still people.

 

My best friend actually faked coming out of the closet to me a couple years ago to see if I would still be friends with him.

All I said was, "Oh, so does that mean your girl is single now? She's really hot."

It more boils down to whether or not you're comfortable with him though. If he's trying to sleep with you all the time then maybe it's time to not hang out with him so much.

Occasional jokes are ok, but if he's constantly trying to get at you then that's another story. You'd have to let him go or he'd fall for you. THEN Things wouldn't be okay.

 

Yeah, haha. I thought the thread was just talking about the original news of his being homosexual--I might find it difficult if he had intense feelings towards me.

 

I'm gay. I'm still cool with all my friends who I consider close. I'm not trying to suck their dicks, I just want to hang out and do stuff with them, like normal guys do. I hate it when my orientation is my identity. It's not.

P.S. If you're not gay, then why should you worry about it?

 

One of my friends is a lesbian and I have no problem with it. Also, one of my cousins is gay and I talk with him a lot.

 

Yes, I wouldn't care about his sexual preferences or orientation. I judge my friends on character and personality.

I think I would be fine with it. Non of my friends have told me they are gay, but it would be cool.

Unless they tried to feel me up while spotting me, or anything of that nature, I would accept them as people still.

I am still friends with my friend that I met like 7 years ago. He told me he was gay just recently. He also told me that he liked me the few past years, which sort of startled me, but I did tell him that I'm not that way. I respect his decisions in whatever he does, since I know he won't try to hit on me.
