You can now pay taxes with Bitcoin in Ohio!

Article - Ohio becomes the first state to accept bitcoin for tax payments

I think it's really cool Ohio is branding itself as a tech-friendly state. This could be big for crypto if all other states start following Ohio. I think it gives common people a sense of security about BTC if companies can pay taxes with it in Ohio.

What are your thoughts guys?

This is great! I've always been a big believer in BTC. This is getting BTC one step closer to everyday use in our economy which will help it grow in the future.

I think it's silly.

What happens when you pay your tax with BTC and the next day it drops? There is already so many surrounding issues about BTC
in this type of aspect, that there are people who will not deal with $$$ to BTC but will ONLY deal with BTC to BTC.

I thought BTC is supposed to be a crypto currency which is not recognized as money by government, banks, etc.

What's next? BTC becomes another regulated normal taxable source of income?

 

It's basically already being regulated as the SEC is tracking wallets and taxing people for capitals gains haha. Crazy times imo.

 

Maybe rest of the states shall follow

 

Bitcoin will rise in 2019-2020.
