Richard Lewis, a prominent CSGO personality is pretty much claiming that Counter-Strike 2 is to be released.

Any speculation on how this will affect the CSGO market? I'm pretty sure skins will be moved, unless Valve wants an arms of angry CSGO skinners to go after them.

 

Seems like it was just announced. I’m skeptical about it replacing CSGO. So far what I’ve seen about the game is that they seemed to go all in with the VFX and that’s about it.

 

I dont play CSGO but it looks decent

probably will help attract newer players too

 

I think the new tick system is the biggest selling point of CS 2. No more Faceit/ESEA to dodge their bad 64 tick servers

 

The last csgo major just concluded, mixed feelings.
Curious who will win the first cs2 major, won't be the same.

 

Similar feelings here. This is the first counter strike game that will be completely removed and replaced by the next installment. As much as the game had it's lows, can't but help feel a bit sad over the whole thing.

 

Imagine if Gamerlegion would have won it aswell..
The story would be insane.
