rsKombat - much more than an autoswitcher [OSRS/RSPS] [FREE] [JOIN DISCORD]

Hey guys, I wanted to quickly shoot something out! Wouldn't call this a finished program! Just something you can already test out, give feedback on.

Anyways, go grab yourself the latest java 8 64bit Runtime Environment here: Java SE Runtime Environment 8 - Downloads (Mandatory!)

• Extract .zip anywhere
• Start your Runescape client and log in
  
• Start INSTALL.bat (this will register a DLL file) - this step needs to be done only once
• Run xSwitcher.exe (Note: console appears - will be removed in future)

Folder structure:

• builds is the folder where your switches are
• lib has some DLLs the program needs to function properly
• out.jpg is a picture of your inventory - this gets updated automatically every time you use a switching action
• xSwitcher.exe is the main program. Opens up the console and displays some log data. Closing this will close the program.

Recording a switch:
Option #1
Double press Caps-lock key.
Here you can give a name to your switch. This name will be used in builds folder to identify a build.


Then, you will have to enter a comma-separated array of inventory slot numbers (1-28) on which desired items reside. Items are searched from top to bottom, in inventory. Therefore, the lower the numbers - the faster the program.


Then, pictures of said items will be taken. NOTE: inventory must be visible!
After that, you can check your builds folder and you'd see your new switch there. Check if taken images are correct.

Option #2 (Quicker, imo)
Instead of typing in slot numbers you can use your mouse.
Press Caps-lock key ONCE, place mouse over one item, click (left) Ctrl key. Then mouse over another item, press (left) Ctrl key, and so on for every other item. After you are finished, you can press Caps-lock key second time, and you will be asked for a build name once again. builds folder will be updated, too. Check the images.

Using a switch
Once you have all the switches added, you can start binding them to Ctrl+A/S/D keys.
To bind CTRL+A, all you have to do is the following:
Press (left)CTRL+A Then, you will be asked for a switch name. These are the folder names in builds folder, remember? Once you choose the build it will be removed from the list (so other S and D keys can't use the same switch). But it stays in the builds folder, though - for future use.
Each time you start the program, you have to re-bind switch-keys.



Pausing the program
Sometimes you alt+tab to another window and don't want this program to keep running (interferes with other shortcuts: CTRL+S for example). Just click Escape key! Tooltip will be shown. Want to resume? Click Escape again!
Or, just exit the program. And start again - all the switches will stay in builds folder and all you have to do is bind keys again (under "Using a switch" title).

F2 must be mapped to inventory in Runescape

And inventory MUST BE in solid color, not transparent

Started working on OSBuddy support

 

Done, OS Buddy support added!
As an extra: CTRL+space will now do a special attack! You can be on any tab - combat tab will be selected and special attack bar is clicked. Only tested this on OS Scape right now, but will most likely work on other clients as well. Testing this is on my TODO-list.


As always, my gifs are slow... damn you laptop! But you get the gist. I had to press three shortcuts: CTRL+A for equipping dbow, black dhide and archer's helm. And CTRL+SPACE for the special. In reality it is: CTRL+A+SPACE. Very convenient.
Then CTRL+D to equip back void and bp.
It's even fun to pvm with the auto switcher! Very casual, especially, when you need a 3-way switch.

Next: Refactoring; I realized I need to re-design some things, code wise.

I did address some potential concerns regarding viruses, key logging or whatnot, in previous posts. As to "working well", well, can't guarantee that, yet. I've had 9 downloads, but zero feedback

 

Next: Using an .ini file for custom function key bindings. There will be no hard-coded key values, i.e. the end user doesn't have to change their own Runescape client function key configuration.
I'm going out for a 2-day trip, so I'm probably going to finish that functionality some time after the trip.

I do hope to get some feedback when I get back, as I would rather fix potential bugs now, than later.
Pumping out new functionalities on a buggy base can get quite dirty real fast and time for fixing will be increased because of that.

I did test this program on a fresh windows 7 virtual machine so given installation instruction, in an earlier post, should suffice.
As people still seem sceptical, I've found yet another solution for you guys: Sandboxie (Sandboxie - Sandbox software for application isolation and secure Web browsing)
From their website: Sandboxie uses isolation technology to separate programs from your underlying operating system preventing unwanted changes from happening to your personal data, programs and applications that rest safely on your hard drive.
I haven't tried it with with an xSwitcher, yet, but I've used it with a browser, mail client and such. It works as described.
Best and probably easiest way of using a program you are afraid of, is running it through a virtual machine. It's completely isolated from your own main OS environment. Nothing bad can happen.

I think I'm just going to postpone this project for now. I don't see the point developing something people have no interest in.

10-way switch:


I will be getting a new laptop in a few weeks, so I can start posting gif's with no lag... But you can see that 10-way is also very realistic option.


Things I did after last post:

• CTRL+P pauses the script (was just ESC key)
• CTRL+o resets bindings - so you can easily re-bind your builds.
• Refactoring code
• Working .ini file for easy configuration

but i use in the old days i used to use auto switching system where i choosed where i need to click in the inv and it clicks on it , it worked not perfectly like yours

Money is not the most important thing here. My main goal is to make a nr 1 "combat suite". To my acknowledge there is non in the market. All Runescape (and private server) clients will be supported!
I still have a long way to go, asking money this early is not what I'm going to do.

By combat suite I mean it will have (but not limited to) the following:

• Recording "builds" (set of items to switch to/ use) CHECK
• Binding builds to keyboard shortcuts CHECK
• .ini file for shortcut configuration CHECK
• Shortcut for special attack bar (regardless on witch tab you are on) CHECK
• For my lovely stakers: attack style flicking NOT_DONE
• Bindings for prayers (e.x. binding item protect to a shortcut) NOT_DONE
• Bindings for magic tab spells (e.x. binding vengeance to a shortcut) NOT_DONE
• Listeners; e.x. if HP < 20 cast vengeance, put on item protect and equip dh axe NOT_DONE
  • This is a bigger feature, will take more time

Definitely more things to come in future! I probably need to rename this project to xCombat (or something) as it's not going to be merely an autoswitcher, obviously.


Next update: attack style flicking.

 

Something I want to implement for those quick escapes:

• Shortcut for logging off NOT_DONE
• Shortcut for using amulets teleportation effect NOT_DONE

Also, I want to add the following:

• Overlay over client, displaying references to all the key bindings that have been set up NOT_DONE
  • So you don't forget what is bound to what

I have the basics down. All I need to do now, is pictures of attack styles and few lines of extra code. I'm really happy how I designed it, code wise.

Also, removed some redundant code that directly impacted programs performance.

I added all the necessary attack styles. 36 images... my hand... is cramping. Now they are ready to be bound to a shortcut.

I think many people are in the same position as you - waiting for someone to "go first". I have suggested many different ways you can safely run this program in my previous posts (scanning for viruses, using a VM, Sandboxie, level 3 dummy user, logging in BEFORE running the program, etc). What can I do, for you to feel safer? Out of curiosity, what exactly are you sceptical about? Viruses and/ or keylogging? Something else? Please tell me, maybe I can be more transparent with what I do.

 

Interested in this, howmuch would you charge and what payment options do you accept?

Don't mind going first and testing just very curious.

I haven't thought about pricing yet, to be honest. I will be accepting BTC as currency. Right now I'm just adding more features (note items with NOT_DONE).
There will be a next trial (beta) version on the weekend. It's completely free. I just need some feedback from users. Trial version will expire in few days/ a week. Based on the feedback I get, I will either fully release it or postpone to fix whatever needs fixing. I don't want to charge people for something shit I think it's a win-win. You get to be sure you're not paying for air and I can release a solid program.
So basically I can count on you, being the first brave one jumping on this train, @furyscape ?

For future:
Sometimes order is important (e.x. eating shark first, then karambw.). So, when recording builds, remember the order in which user "recorded" the items NOT_DONE

You can see the special-attack, prayer and attack style switching. No matter the tab - appropriate tab will be selected and desired item/ icon will be clicked!
From the GIF you can see that mouse barely moves -- it's that fast.

What I did see from testing attack style switching, is that it's kind of slow. Or not -- you guys can see that for yourself in a few days and let me know!

Next:
I really need to re-think keyboard shortcut bindings and setup everything for the trial (beta ver.) release.
No new features will be developed over the next few days.
