Greatly reduce spam in HR+Tech Support

So after alot of browsing though the help requests and tech support section i noticed a trend. So many people make shit posts after a question is answered for post count. For instance "^Yeah do what that guy said it works' To reduce this i purpose this:

Members who make threads in that section should be able to close the thread themselves. This would greatly reduce spam in the thread and keep the section clean.

I really don't think it's that bad. Yes, there was a recent thread but I think people should just report and it will eventually go down.

 

Simple solution, report the post for spam.

 

Simply reporting the post wont stop even more people from doing it.

 

What's the difference in the HR+Tech Support section to any other forum? Why would you have special permissions to close your own thread in the HR+Teach Report section and no other?

 

Cause you ask questions there, and its easy to spam there with weak posts.

I think it's easier in the market to spam there with weak posts. This idea is just a no go altogether.

 

Sure you could just report it for spam, but I mean, locking the thread yourself would prevent it from happening at all. Once your question has been answered, close the thread.

 

Or just PM a mod to close it..
