Looking to buy OG Gamertag

Price depends on the quality of the tag, but I'm looking to change up the main tag I use for gaming and would love to buy something with one or two words. I don't care about gamerscore, more focused on a good new identity that I can feel good about gaming with for the long term.

If I found someone selling a tag I like and I buy it, is there a way to transfer my current Destiny characters onto the newly purchased account? It will be tough to leave those behind...
